Its whittingtons Family fun day today 12-5 at the cricket club.
There is a dog show from 1pm which i have sponsored so head on down there with your pooch.
Sadly i cant make it as i have a day full of dogs to wash, but have a great day.

For those puppy owners amazed by how well behaved their puppies are at the groomers.
Its not me 😂 this is Remis first bath and to say she wasn’t impressed is an understatement.
Shes 10 weeks old and probably the biggest puppy ive ever bathed 🫣 and insisted on standing on my shoulder to be dried and we both got soaked. 🐾

It looks like the road closure on St Martins road has been extended too Friday so i am not accessible off Gobowen Roundabout.
The diversion is via StMartins, I am accessible past the road closure signs coming from St Martins.

I am almost fully booked for August and only have 2 06.30 appointments left.

September is also booking up quickly as i have a week off.

I advise booking all appointments until the end of 2025.

Any cancellations will be posted to my story.

Please note I will no longer be opening up any afternoon appointments in August or beginning of September if the weather isn’t hot. After September my hours will return to normal.

The road from Gobowen Roundabout to the turning for my lane is closed next week, the diversion is via StMartins, please allow additional time.
Alternatively you could park on West Place which is accessible and walk down the Alley.

Road Closure, St Martins Road, Gobowen between Ferndale Crescent and School Lane junctions. School Lane is also closed to through traffic. Bus services are affected.

From Monday 21st July 8am to 5pm on Friday 1st August.

Severn Trent Water are carrying out a repair to a deep waste water pipe.

Access for residents in the closure areas will be maintained but there will be no through routes.

Bus Services are being diverted as follows:

No. 53 Towards Ellesmere:
Normal route to the end of Old Whittington Road then turning left in Gobowen Centre to divert via the A5 and pick up the usual bus route at St Martins School.

No. 53 towards Oswestry.
From St Martins School the bus will travel to Gledrid roundabout, along the A5, turn off the A5 onto Chirk Road and then pick up its usual route when it reaches Gobowen roundabout.

We will publish details of the diversion route for the no.2 bus as soon as we have them.

The dog show on saturday has sadly but rightfully been cancelled.

Please leave your dogs at home there is no shade on the field and temperatures that high can be fatal.

If you where planning on entering your dog please help support this event in other ways through raffle tickets etc to help keep events like this happening in the future.

Gobowen community group have done amazing the past few years bringing events back to Gobowen so please show your support however you can.

Sadly we have made the decision to cancel the dog show section of the Gobowen Family Fun Day on Saturday 12th July due to the predicted high temperatures, as its not safe for the pooches.

There will still be lots going on and we are working hard to fill the space.

Come along for all the fun 12pm til late, don't forget your sun cream, hats and lots of water!
