These three beauties (Plus Peggy) didn't even make it to the open market! 🥰

Big, gentle giant Inka, with all 17hh of him, has now found his forever home. After a lifetime of competing all the way to 4* and teaching young riders, he's now enjoying a well-earned, loving lower-level home on the moors. ❤️

Lovely baby Melody, after being started and taking to her ridden career like a duck to water, has landed on her feet in a wonderful, knowledgeable local home.

The most wonderful, biggest, derpiest and sweetest 4-year-old cob I have ever come across, big baby Otis, is now happily settled and very much loved by his new family.

And lovely little Peggy, only recently advertised, is staying very local! I'm sure we'll be seeing plenty of her out and about. ☺️

Finding the right homes is just as big a passion for us as breaking in and producing these wonderful horses.

Don't feel deflated if you've missed out, and don't be shy about sending me your requirements if you're looking for quality, well-produced and desensitised all-rounders.

Please form an orderly queue!! 🌺 Ophelia 🌺 is ready to find her new partner in crime! 🤎✨

Ophelia is a stunning 15.2/15.3hh Welsh x Sport horse, 5-year-old palomino mare looking for her next adventure.

Professionally broken and produced last year, Ophelia has already had a fantastic start to her education. She has enjoyed arena hires, cross-country schooling, a couple of outings, and has even met the hounds.

After a winter break, she has been slowly and correctly brought back into work. Since then, we've concentrated on her schooling, she's back jumping courses with fillers, and has been to her first fun ride, where she was incredibly fun, brave, and an absolute pleasure throughout.

Ophelia is a bold, genuine, and exciting ride. She has plenty of energy and engine without being hot or silly. She is forward-thinking, intelligent, and always wants to get on with the job.

She has all the attributes to become an outstanding grassroots event horse. Don't let her chunky build fool you, this big girl is athletic, has an impressive jump, and is very clever behind. She absolutely loves to jump and is incredibly enthusiastic, never backing off a fence. With a little more strengthening and mileage, I believe she has every chance of being a competitive 100/110cm horse for someone wanting to progress up the levels.

She also has the presence and movement to excel as a working hunter, eventer, or dressage horse. She's brave enough to happily pop hedges all day while hunting, yet sensible enough to make a fantastic all-rounder in the right home.

Ophelia has a bright, bubbly personality and absolutely loves being out and about. At her first fun ride she happily galloped through open countryside, fields of cows, swam in the river, and even chased canoes! She's definitely a water baby! She jumped everything asked of her out of her stride with confidence and ease.

She really is a lovely combination of both breeds, with the presence, character, and enthusiasm of a Welsh, but without the dragon-like, spooky side (thank goodness!), combined with the athleticism and scope of a Warmblood.

She is still a young horse with plenty of power, so she would ideally suit someone who enjoys the Welsh type but wants a more sporty version with less silliness. Due to her age and ability, she isn't suitable for a novice rider. Although she is genuine and doesn't do anything wrong, she is young, powerful, and appreciates a balanced, confident rider.

Her paces are lovely and there's still plenty of improvement to come on the flat. Her canter is simply to die for! You could sit it holding a pint without spilling a drop!

Her jump is bold, careful, and still green, with plenty of scope. She's quick off the ground and has all the ingredients to become a serious cross-country machine.

As if her talent wasn't enough, she turns heads everywhere she goes. She's incredibly sweet on the ground, easy to handle, shoe, and manage day to day. She loads first time, travels beautifully, and has behaved exactly the same away from home as she does at home.

Ophelia is homebred and has been with the same family all her life, receiving a kind, correct start and excellent handling throughout. She is a much-loved mare, and we are looking for the very best home where she can continue to fulfil her huge potential.

Great... your horse is good in traffic, but how often can you say your horse is boat proof? 🤣⛴️

Ophelia (15.2–15.3hh Welsh x WB 5yo palomino mare), who will soon be looking for a new home, was an absolute CHAMP at the Courtfield Farm Fun Ride in Ross-on-Wye, organised by The Ross Harriers Hunt .

Without a doubt, it's one of the best fun rides we've ever been to! Swimming in the river, plenty of jumps, beautiful scenery, fields of cows to ride through, rugby games to walk past, swans, Canadian geese, deer... and to finish it all off, a lovely BBQ, great photos, and lots of laughs with the best company

Here's a little snippet of this wonderful mare learning so much, taking everything in her stride, and proving what a genuine, willing horse she is. She's definitely found her calling! She absolutely loved to jump out of her stride, gallop, and explore, a gem in the making

A little peek at a very special baby horse!!

🦄 Melody 🦄 is a dainty 15.1hh, 4-year-old homebred mare. She is by the one and only wonderful advance eventing thoroughbred stallion Sula Blue, out of a sporty cob mare.

She is the perfect definition of an amateur event horse, combining the blood and athleticism of her Thoroughbred side with the intelligent, trainable, kind nature of a good old Irish Cob.

She's currently being backed and is taking it all in like a champ. Impressively bold, sensible, and unfazed by everything she's been asked to do so far.

A few of the babies have started their eventing career over the last couple of weeks 🤩🤩

They've all had very different journeys, but I couldn't be prouder of the horses they are becoming. They give their best and improve every time they go out.

I'm incredibly chuffed that they are ALWAYS the most polite bunch to take out and about. They can be left tied to the trailer while their friend is away, and my mini groom (who is only 4 years old!) can lead them around, hold them while they're being washed off and tacked up, and even load ALL of them by herself!

They come off the trailer quietly, stand patiently to be pampered, perform, and then happily stand again by the trailer with the world passing by. No drama, no calling, no stressing, no screaming, and not a hint of rude behaviour. They really are a joy to take out.

It really highlights the good ethics and foundations that we work so hard to instil in all of them. They all get there eventually, and in my eyes, good behaviour and willingness will always come before performance.

A quick recap...

🐎Pony and Orla both WON 🏆🏆 the ODE at Tumpy Green Equestrian & Competition Centre

For Orla, it was her first ever dressage test and showjumping round, never mind a whole one-day event. She was the star of the day, and Pony stepped up brilliantly too!

🐻 Charlie was thrown in at the deep end at The PRB Horseboxes Cotswold Cup.

He gave his absolute best and was incredibly bold around the cross-country until one small misread of a fence, where he tried to climb it rather than jump it! 😅 I thought it was the more sensible option to represent him and he continued beautifully and enthusiastically

He flew around with very little preparation. The only competition he'd done beforehand was trotting around a tiny 70cm at Hazleton several weeks earlier. Now he's cantering cross-country as though he's always done it, happily galloping between the fences. He is an absolute dude, and his heart is every bit as big as his derpy face! ❤️

🐴 Pony put in a lovely dressage test, had one silly human pole in the showjumping, and absolutely flew around the spooky cross-country. 👻👻

🌸 Baby Orla produced a fabulous dressage test in only her second ever outing but then decided to jump the top of the wings in the showjumping warm-up! She was going a little too high and not quite forward enough. We very much appreciated the enthusiasm, but I didn't want to knock her confidence any further, so we sensibly saved her for another day. We'll practise jumping on grass a bit more. There are certainly worse problems to have than being too scopey! 😆 On to the next one for her, she was a great girl regardless.

A mention is also very much deserved for my groom Chloe-Anne Watts . She has done a brilliant job juggling the yard and horses in this horrendous heat, where everything takes twice as long and is that much harder work. She also took over the reins on my very precious Cow Mare, who never gets enough recognition, while grooming for three other horses over the same weekend.
It was only their second event together, and they absolutely ate up the cross-country, even picking up a speeding ticket! 😂 A much-improved result from their first outing together a few weeks ago, and they're building a lovely partnership.

I couldn't be more happy of this little team and these young horses. They're all learning, growing, and proving that good foundations really do pay off!!

A few of the quadruples that have recently passed their vettings and are now settling into their exciting new homes 🤩

Our gorgeous princess Caffie, such a big character on the yard and already greatly missed, is learning to enjoy the company of her two new Shetland companions! 🤣

Tango is loving the Gloucestershire countryside.

Lovely boy Skoda is staying with us for a couple more weeks before heading to another very exciting local home. We do love a good jumping cob, although he's destined to become a dressage diva! 💙

🩵 Skoda 🩵

Stunning black and white Irish boy! Full-up 15.1/15.2hh, 7-year-old Sport Cob gelding.

Skoda is a wonderful all-rounder—light, comfortable and uphill, off the leg without being strong, and incredibly kind and polite. He is brilliant in traffic, unspooky, and a pleasure to ride.

He has done a bit of everything and has hunted with a very petite lady rider. He is fantastic out hacking, both alone and in company. Don't let the feathers fool you, this boy can jump! Unlike many heavier cobs, he isn't on the forehand; he is active, uphill, balanced and athletic.

He has a very sweet, laid-back personality (but is not a kick-along). With lovely paces and a good jump, he will make an amazing hunter, all-rounder or working hunter. He has lots of presence, is a pleasure to handle, and always wants to please.

🌸 Peggy 🌸

14.2hh, 8-year-old coloured ISH mare.

Peggy is a lovely refined Irish horse—a little pony that moves like a big horse, with paces to dream of.

She is incredibly kind and polite to do everything with, including taking her out and about competing. She is easy enough to be handled by children and has a lovely willing temperament.

She has been cross-country schooling, showjumping and is happy hacking both alone and in company. She has beautiful movement and is naturally forward-going without ever being strong or hot.

She already has a few outings and competitions under her belt, including showjumping, dressage and fun rides. More recently she has been ridden in a riding school by riders of varying ages and abilities, from children to small adults. However, she is simply far too smart and talented to spend her life in lessons, so her owner has made the difficult decision to let her find the very own human she deserves.

She has a BIG jump and so much untapped talent for someone wanting to progress up the levels, although she could easily turn her hoof to almost anything. She is naturally balanced and collected and gives a lovely feeling under saddle.

She would make a fantastic jumping pony but is equally stunning on the flat and has recently started some lateral work.

She can have the occasional little spook, but she is never nappy or silly, isn't hot, and always goes forward when asked.

❤️ Orla ❤️

Grey, 15.1hh, 6-year-old fully registered Connemara mare.

Orla is a forward-going (but not strong), athletic little pocket rocket that gives you the feeling of riding a much bigger horse.

She is a very exciting eventing prospect with plenty of potential. Brave to a fence and bold as brass, she seriously pings off the ground. She is incredibly quick and careful with her legs and has all the ingredients to make a seriously smart competition horse.

As you would expect from a young horse, she is still green. She has a very BIG, rhythmical canter that she is growing into and learning to collect, but the quality is all there. She has so much scope and potential, and we are very excited to see what her future holds.

She has been showjumping and cross-country schooling and has recently started competing, where she proved to be incredibly straightforward and completely unfazed by the atmosphere.

A real little powerhouse in the making—never sharp or naughty, but more suited to a competitive amateur wanting a horse to produce and enjoy.

I can genuinely picture her flying around the Badminton Grassroots course one day!

These are young horses, so please no nervous or novice riders unless you are well supported and understand the wonderful journey that comes with producing a greener horse.

They are all incredibly polite and well behaved on the ground. Their prices will naturally increase as they continue gaining experience, and they are all entered for further outings and events.

We are also very happy to continue producing them on behalf of their new owners.

✨ Shannon ✨

Shannon is a wonderful 15hh, 14yo CHAPS registered traditional cob mare… but if in your mind a cob is meant to be a ploddy seaside donkey, you might need to think again!

She’s what I’d call a proper power cob, she’s got a big, brave jump, a seriously lovely canter, and plenty of engine under the bonnet.

She’s forward going and enjoys her work, but she’s not silly or sharp, just a fun, capable little mare who likes to get on with things.

She’s safe, sensible and genuine, but she is active, uphill and has big, expressive paces for a little horse, so sadly she won't suit a novice, she needs someone balanced and established in their riding to really enjoy her.

She’s spent most of her life as a happy hacker and has seen plenty of the world, and more recently she’s started doing a bit of schooling. She’s taken to it really naturally, she’s got a super consistent rhythm, stays soft and easily in an outline in a snaffle, and doesn’t lean or pull. She has a naturally uphill way of going and a big, floaty canter that would make her a really interesting little dressage or showing prospect.

That said, she’s just as happy pottering round the village on the buckle. She really is one of those horses that can step up or down depending on what you ask of her, she’ll quite happily have a quiet hack one day and gallop and jump around a funride the next

Hacking is where she really shines. She’s good in traffic, happy to go out on her own or in company, and will go first or last without any fuss. She’s great in open spaces and enjoys a canter but doesn’t take hold or get strong, and definitely isn’t the type to pull your arms out or get silly. She’ll go through water, steps, ditches, pop logs and cross country fences, she just gets on with it and enjoys herself.

She does pop around a course, loves a funride and doesn't mind cross country fences. She’s bold, genuine and really seems to love jumping.

She’d make a cracking riding club, Pony Club, hunting cob or all-round fun little horse for someone who wants something a bit more capable than your average cob. She will also suit and elderly lady in the hunting field as she never is strong nor silly

On the ground she’s an absolute sweetheart. She loves a fuss and will quite happily stand there all day being groomed. She’s easy to have on the yard, good to catch, good to turnout, and happily lives in or out.

She gets on with mares and geldings and just minds her own business. She’s good for the farrier and vet, loads easily and travels like a dream, she is just a nice, straightforward mare to deal with in every way.

She’s had a low mileage life, so there’s plenty left in the tank for someone to go out and really enjoy her and bring her on that bit further.

She would suit a keen teenager, small adult, or potentially a mother/daughter share, as long as the rider is confident and balanced. She’s the kind of cob people dream of finding when they want something fun and capable, but without the sharpness you can get in blood horses or warmblood types.

But I’ll say it again! She is forward, she has a proper jump, and she will not suit a novice or unbalanced rider. With a good balanced rider she will be an absolute joy and a real rosette machine.
