On Saturday 10th May Nuneaton Dog Training Club are hosting an ABC (Anything But a Collie) heat, which is a fun class with a variety of exercises to choose from, and an opportunity to reward (food and/or toy) in the ring. Several of our members have already entered but there are plenty of spaces for more of you to enter. If you would like to know more about it please ask, or visit the ABC Competitive Obedience FB page.
There is also an ALL-Breedience heat taking place on the same day (a team activity, with teams made up of any mix of breeds), so a great opportunity to get together with some of your class mates and form a team...... there are currently 3 teams from Nuneaton DTC taking part in this fun, team activity, so lets give them a 'run for their money' and get some more NDTC teams entered ☺️

Stooging at Stoneleigh
The Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme are running examiner assessment courses at The Kennel Club Building, Stoneleigh, CV8 2LZ on Friday 9th May 2025. To make these courses a success, they need our help.

They are looking for handlers and dogs to come along and take part in the practical sessions of the Assessment Courses, as stooge handlers and dogs. (arrival time TBC). Drinks and snacks will be available on arrival and throughout the afternoon.
Handlers and dogs do not need to have passed any Good Citizen Awards previously and can be at any level, but it is preferred that dogs are over 6 months old. Dogs must have a good temperament and be happy to work around other dogs.
Handlers and dogs will be split into groups and will be asked to attempt various exercises from the Good Citizen Awards, under the guidance of one of the course Assessors. The testing levels will be Bronze, Silver and Gold. However, the dogs are not under test, so it does not matter that they may be unable to achieve the standard in a certain exercise, the purpose of this course is to assess the competencies of the trainee examiners. Handlers who attend will be given £10 towards expenses.
