Oh my, Bella is an absolute sweetheart. When you first meet her, the chances are she will be quite timid, but get through that initial shyness and you will then see her come alive and show her confidence ✅

She is a playful girl once she feels settled but it has to be said she is a fan of women more than men.... She also isn't that fond of little hoomans as likes to hiss at children 🙀

She's basically a girl that knows what she likes & what she dislikes, bless her and we love her all the more for it 💞

Just 5 years of age, we would love to help find her the purrfect furever home she craves 🏠

Ready for Adoption: Meet our Beloved Buddy

Buddy is a five year old stunning boy who is now looking for his Furever home 🏠

He is very much a lover of the great outdoors, however will grace you merrily with his presence and take up residence on your lap 😻

He plays when he wants too, but very much prefers the mix of hooman affection, then going off to explore and come home with exciting tales to tell you over dinner 🍽️

If you are looking for a well mannered, beautiful boy to join your family, then look no further...Neutered, chipped and vaccinated, he's generally fine with other cats, likes children but hasn't been around dogs 🐾

Our Prizedraw is still running this weekend with us due to draw it on Monday 1st September 🎉🎉🎉

The month of August saw us spend £3814.77 at our many vet groups!!!!
An eye watering figure 🙀🙀🙀

Don't get me wrong we are setup to deal with this and are super proud to have no outstanding balances with any of our vets. ✅✅✅

We strive to always ensure we can care for the kitties with us and open ourselves ready to take more when space allows it. So if you can afford even just one go on our draw, please do 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Our prizes are all donated and cost us nothing, but the monies from the prizedraw really do help to save lives!!🐾

Entry is just £1 per number, every single penny goes to the rescue and for those already registered with Gift Aid, this means even more funds go into the kitty 💰

Apparently Bank Holidays are made for:

>Hosting a stall at the Lowdham Horticultural Show whilst slowly burning under the Suns glare 🥵 (£156 raised, thank you) at a very well organised village fete 🎉

>Visiting the emergency vets to ensure Ben was okay, following a few nose bleeds post surgery 😓

>Welcoming the heavily pregnant Amy, now knowing she is due at the start of September (thanks to the superb Bev, from Little Paws Microchipping & Ultrasounds.), for scanning her for us. 🙏🏻

>Welcoming 6 teeny newbies all in need of our awesome fosterer Aliice. Safe now, but will need to be relocated to another home on September 2nd. Priority was getting them a warm home which we can't thank Aliice enough for providing 🌹

There will be more new arrivals later this week. The saving grace is we've had a great month securing Furever homes for our current foster kitties. There certainly is never a dull day.... 🐾🐾

EVENT NOTIFICATION

We'll be at the Lowdham Horticultural Show on Monday 25th August between 1pm - 430pm.

There is so much to see at do at the shows 132nd outing, but being biased clearly we are the stall to come and see. Lol 🤣

Cat nip Mice, tombola, CatChat, blankets, toys, games, Bric a Brac and more... We will also be having a clearance sale as such to help raise funds 💰

This week we have committed to take in an extra 11 kitties. One Pregnant and due at start of September. One stray with three kits and might be pregnant, another stray in need, as well as upto 4, 2 day old kits with no mommab😓 needing to be hand reared.

It's certainly not been a dull week x

Foster Support Needed:

We've been asked to help with a mum and her kittens. The video shows just how playful and lovely they are 😻😻😻.

The problem is we don't have the safe space for them 😓

Is anyone in the position to help, even on a short term basis just to allow us to get this beautiful family safe? 🙏🏻

We'll provide everything you need. We just need someone to give them a warm home. ❤️

You may remember, Ben arrived on Friday night... He had a melting Ulcer and needed surgery to remove his eye and finally get him out of pain ✅

Well this took place on Tuesday and we are so pleased to say that this stunning older boy is doing super well 🎉

He has a slight heart murmur which is no surprise for a 12 year old, and will need further surgery as his teeth are not in a good way. The majority will need pulling out but we'll cross that bridge when we get there 🐾

We are super proud to help cats like Ben. He will continue to thrive and know real love and be given everything and more he could possibly ever hope for 🙏🏻

You might remember Jean-Lino... 🧡

He came in to rescue thanks to Marco and his partner kindly raising the alarm. He needed to be neutered, chipped, have most of his teeth out and have a tumour removed. He was in a very sorry state, didn't like hooman touch and was shut down. 😿

Well 2 months later he is coming on leaps and bounds.
He now responds positively to his hoomans and purrs immediately when they are around. He accepts treats and has a great appetite. ✅

He also allows strokes and fusses, but he occasionally has issues with 'hands' so we hate to think what he has been subjected too, but his hoomans respect his worries and are incredible with him.

A few minor ongoing concerns with drooling and a cough which will be check out, but this boy wants for nothing and he has certainly landed on his paws 🐾 🐾

EVENT NOTIFICATION, SAVE THE DATE 🌹

It's official, we are playing host to a Spook'cat'ular Event on Sunday 26th October 📆 🙀🙀🙀

If you would like a stall, at the Burton Joyce & Bulcote Village Hall, please get in touch (07419 908324). The event will have a Halloween feel but your stall can be anything from the weird to the wonderful 🦇

We already have several fabulous stalls lined up and we want to make the Village Hall the place to be!!! 100 years old this November, it's steeped in history and we are so grateful to have the opportunity to host this event 📜

We'll also be opening the kitchen for various refreshments and we'll be having a cake sale hosted by an actual GBBO star ⭐

Ready for Adoption: Meet our Lovable Layla

Layla has been a beloved family member and it’s been a very difficult decision for her family to let her go 😿

At 4 years of age, she is an indoor cat and is very true to her breed as a British Shorthair Cat - she is as sassy as they come but very protective and loyal 🩶

She is very independent and not a lap cat but shows love by sitting near you or coming up for love and will respond with a lot purring :) She loves playing with her laser pen and loves pretend hunting around the house 🎯

She will be fine in families just as long as young children don’t pick her up or force to pet her. ✅

She has full vaccination history and in very good health. She loves treats and will often get fat shamed by the vets - she is a chunky cat and partly due to her breed too. She will make a great pet and has such a big personality.

So if you feel you have the Furever home Layla craves without other pets, please get in touch...

At just 21 months of age, Jessie js a sweet, funny girl. She loves a fuss on her own terms. ✅ She would do anything for a dreamie and is a lover of waking you up in the morning by sitting on top of you! 😹😹😹😹

She's got a sassy personality and definitely knows what she does and doesn't like! So basically the Purrfect Cat 😻

She's so lovely and would easily become a much loved part of the family. She would thrive in a home with access to the outdoors and no small children 🏡
