Ready for Adoption: Meet our Marvellous Mickha

She is a delightful fluffy little lady who is looking for a calm, loving home for her retirement. In fairness, she's only just turned 13 years of age and is in great health having recently had a full vet MOT and dental ✅

Of an evening, she is quite happy to cuddle up, as you put the world to rights by watching the news, soaps or latest dramas. Daytime wise she is happy to have a small pootle around, though most content just chilling, snoozing and watching the world go by 🌍

She's not lived with another cat/dog before so most likely will be suited as the only cat and to a quieter home without children 💯

She's not really fussed on going outdoors, but has previously had access to a secure garden, just for a change of scenery 🏡

Our other arrivals this morning were a beautiful, yet petite mum and her two 10 weeks old kittens 😻

All three are stunning and their owner just reached out for support as couldn't cope anymore 💜

Both kits have gunky eyes so most likely a mild dose of catflu but are energetic enough. The lighter female is a fl**zy and loves attention, whereas the darker most likely boy, is a little shyer at this stage 🐾

All three will now receive the full 6* MAF treatment and be doted on 24/7 💯

We welcomed two new little ones last night! 🧡 🧡

Between 2-3 weeks of age and seemingly in good shape, despite being found at the waste site in Colwick. Sadly no mum around, but healthy enough and now receiving 24/7 care, initially with myself ✅

Watching their little ears twitch when they feed is a delight and when stimulating them to toilet, they pull the cutest of faces 💕

All in all, just happy to save these two little lives and give them a chance of a future 💯

Ready for Adoption: Meet our Brilliant Bagherra

At just 3 years of age, Bagherra is a stunning little lad who is looking for his chance at a happy Furever after 🏠

He came to rescue with an injured toe bean, having been straying for a long time. However, when he did arrive, the vets got him sorted straight away and handed him to our care ✅

Since being here, he has been a loving boy, very playful and especially loves spring toys. He can be a little shy at times, but this is mostly just him getting used to the fact people aren't all bad... 💕

Suited to many types of home, provided they are patient and will give Bagherra the space he needs to adjust 💯

Ready for Adoption: Meet our Joyful Jet

Jet is only a young girl herself, est 1 year old and arrived to rescue heavily pregnant. She has however been the most incredible of mums and has done a marvellous job showing her kits all the skills she has learnt....The foster family helped too 🤣

Jet is an absolute delight and is such an affectionate girl. She loves to be around her hooman friends and get lots of fuss, then will just chill next to you 🕶️

She is also great with children and copes superbly in a busy family house and is extremely playful. In her new home she does want to experience the outdoor life once again and so access to a lovely garden with plenty to see and explore would suit her well 🏡

She'll be ready for her new home early to mid July after she has been neutered and chipped but we are now inviting applicants for her 🐈‍⬛ 🐾

This beauty absolutely knows what he likes and what he doesn't. He's an explorer at heart and loves to go off on daily adventures, making sure his land is being cared for. Once he has tired himself out, he will pop back for some food & fuss, update you on all the news, before then deciding whether to go for a snooze or carry on exploring 🗺️

He would be suited to a quieter household, as can be timid when there is a lot of noise or activity. He's never lived with another animal, but has been seen chatting with the local cats... 🐾

He'll be 5 years old in August. He's neutered, chipped and vaccinated & now just waiting for you you fall in love and invite him into your life 🙏🏻

Earlier at approximately 3pm, I held a deer in my arms, as it took its last breath, made a shallow noise and then bled out.....I can still see their final moments now, as they passed away, in pain.

The force the driver hit the deer at was unspeakable. Even the noise is still going through my head. Parts of their car flung across the carriageway due to the impact. This happened on the A612 heading towards Lowdham from Burton Joyce.

Was it an accident, quite possibly....
Could they have reacted in time. Maybe not....
But could they have stopped to at least move the Deer to one side and show some compassion. Evidently Not.
Even if moving the deer was not possible, it should have been reported to 101 and Deer Watch for support.

It scares me that we share our roads with inhumane, horrible people like this. As I say, it could quite simply have been an accidental collision, but what happened to them stopping and taking responsibility?? That's right, it was left to someone else to pick up the pieces. This could have been any animal, or even another human.

Ironically, deer fall under the category of not needing to be reported to the police (999), as do cats currently!

To me this isn't about hanging someone for having hit them (unless they did it on purpose) but more about people having compassion for another life.

This group is full of animal lovers so it's the wrong platform to preach on, however the following petition is for a change to the law to make reporting cat collisions reportable to the police. Please take time to respond. If it doesn't reach 100,000 signatures, it's unlikely anything will change 😿
