We won the lottery!!!!! ….. ok well we didn’t win, but thanks to the National Lottery Community Grant scheme we now have a new shepherdess hut which is replacing our cold and run down caravan… this means that in bad weather we have somewhere warm to learn about horses, and do arts and crafts etc. We hope it will be ready to use come winter (eg some proper steps etc!)

Bronwen and Lily kindly did a cake sale to raise funds for Pet a Pony… they raised an amazing £75 ! So to say thank you they came for a visit yesterday and had some fun with Nutmeg. They were gifted certificates and squashies as a big thank you.. !!!

Pet a Pony is two years old today.. we have seen lots of changes in that time with four new horses, a caravan and a new location!

We have had over 220 people come and visit us and our ponies, some of whom visited as a one off whilst on holiday, and others who have become regular weekly, fortnightly and monthly clients.

During this time we have made over 175 visits to places such as care homes, supported living and nurseries and have met some amazing people both young and old (from 1 to 110 years!)

None of this would have been possible without my band of amazing volunteers - Kathy Smith, Evie Singh, John Grier, Ken Smith, Lila Barratt and Rose Graham. THANK YOU.

Going forward there will be changes, but I genuinely want to thank everyone for their support for this business. Pet a Pony was always a unique concept and we hope to be able to keep it small, personal and individual to each one of you who comes..... all of your smiles make it worthwhile!
