A Groom for Paddy ✂️

This was a return visit to Paddy to get on top of his unruly coat. His welfare was ultimately prioritised as beauty went out the window to remove that matting on his chest and under his chin. Im.not sure if he or I had more patience as rabbits are not a fan of being touched in such sensitive areas! 😅 Paddy highlights the importance of regular hands on checks for your rabbits as many conditions can be hidden to the eye. Regular vet checks are key and all of my grooms include a nose to tail health check for the interim 😁

A Groom for Tallulah ✂️

Tallulah has a lovely little life and is her mum's absolute bestie! She's a Mini Plush Lop, giving her short and velvety fur. This wasn't my first visit to Tallulah but these are the first pictures I've taken of her as she doesn't love being handled - It's lovely to see her confidence now building for those essential nail trims and check overs ☺️

A Groom for Peter ✂️

Peter is a Giant French Lop who was seriously moulting. He was so chilled out and laid back whilst I brushed, plucked and combed out his summer coat. Moulting in great big patches like this is less common but completely normal - and in this case showed some wonderful colour variations 🤎

War Wounds 😅
..when I forget to check their bums before nails are trimmed! Bites and scratches are actually just part of the gig. I will always lets rabbits move around as freely as possible and I'm happy to pay the price of a twist, kick or bite 😊

A Groom for Rose ✂️

Lovely little Rose is the new companion of Paddy. At only 13 weeks old we took the opportunity to check her over and give her her first nail trim - starting simple handling and grooming early on is such an investment in the health of your bun! 🐰

A Groom for Clover ✂️

Clover is a beautiful Albino rabbit - who doesn't mind a brush but hates a nail trim! It's very common for rabbits to not like their feet being touched and)or the noise of the clippers. Red eyes can also limit a rabbit's sight so it's especially important to take my time and let her know what's coming. The fur is a mix of her and her hus-bun's! 🐰

A Groom for Mr. Snuggles ✂️

Mr. Snuggles is small but mighty. He hates being groomed and makes no secret of it - but was also in desperate need of a butt tidy up. Thankfully, with my years of knowledge and expert handling we were able to come to a mutual understanding whilst I cleaned him up (even if I did leave with a few scratches). It's not natural for bunnies to be on their backs - and never fully reclined as this can put them into a trance which is very stressful - so we took plenty of breaks where he was able to lay in the sun and even get in on the grooming too! I will never get over that ultimate grumpy bun face 😂🥰

There's always time for a bunny strop mid-groom! 😤

Rabbits have limited ways to communicate with us so I always have time for them to express themselves. Usually a few minutes and some calm conversation is enough to restore the balance and get back to it!

A Groom for Storm ✂️

Storm had very unfortunately lost his partner to a bout of stasis since my last visit 😔 He hadn't been grooming myself quite as much so I was happy to lend a hand with his moult in the warmer weather. He's such an inquisitive bunny which is always lovely to see as this suggests they feel confident and comfortable. Plenty of cuddles and a rather large bag of removed fur later, he was happy to go back to lounging around in the sun. Till next time Storm! 😊
