It’s been a busy time for some of our older members as they recently attended a Young Leaders Foundation course with other members from the Northamptonshire District.
With our badges completed and now awarded, it meant that we could have a chilled evening playing games and enjoying a delicious ice cream station together.
So, that’s a wrap for this year! Enjoy the summer holidays with your friends and family and we’ll see you all again in September.

We enjoyed an evening of celebration this week. We started with games and chat in the hall with all the girls and their families. Then we went into the church for the presentation of awards. There were so many badges and certificates presented to the girls and our thanks go to Revd Dr Samantha Gillard for presenting them. We finished with a very special presentation to Beryl who has recently retired from GB after 57 years as a leader.

Another lovely sunny day so the N:Spire girls headed to the local park to do some more orienteering. Back at the church the rest of the girls posed for a group photo in the garden. There were also fun activities with paper, painting, and making jigsaws.

We had an evening of varied activities once again this week. These included the N:vestigate girls looking at the Parable of the Sower and N:gage girls were having fun making clay animals. The N:Counta girls were cooking and the N:Spire girls went to the park to practice compass skills.

Yesterday, members of our company (5th Northampton) joined together with other GB companies from our District for a visit to Twycross Zoo. We were joined by members from 1st Higham Ferrers, 3rd Kettering, 1st Duston, 1st Moulton and 1st Wellingborough. We were expecting rain showers but amazingly didn’t get any until we were coming home. We had a very enjoyable day with our friends and saw so many animals of all shapes and sizes. There are lots of photographs. Enjoy!
