From Monday 25th August to Saturday 31st August, I’ll be away on a specialist training course focused on working with very aggressive dogs.

🐾 Support Animals in Need – Lea Road Charity Shop 🐾

I regularly support in Need, a fantastic local rescue charity caring for dogs and other animals until they find their forever homes.

Their shop at 89 Lea Road, Abington is open Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm and it’s full of bargains. You can donate clean, usable items such as clothes, shoes, homeware, books, and accessories. Every sale helps fund the rescue centre and the vital care they provide.

If you’re having a clear out or just fancy a browse, pop in and show them some love ❤️🐶🐾

This friendly fawn lurcher, approx. 6–9 months old, was found on Rothersthorpe Road, Northampton on Tuesday 15 April.

She’s microchipped, but we haven’t been able to contact her owner. She’s safe and being well cared for in our kennels, but we’d love to reunite her with her family.

🐶☕🌳 T’s Dog Fest – Everything You Need to Know! 🌳☕🐶

Get ready for a paw-some day! Here’s what’s happening at T’s Dog Fest Sunday 13th April:

🕘 9AM – Early Birds & Quiet Walks
If your dog is a little shy, 9AM is the perfect time to enjoy a peaceful woodland walk before the crowds arrive. Some stalls may also be ready early, so feel free to have a browse!

🛍️🥞 10AM – Market & Crêperie Open
The market and crêperie officially open at 10AM, so grab a coffee, enjoy a delicious treat, and explore the fantastic local stalls.

🏆🐕 11AM – Dog Show Begins!
The dog show kicks off at 11AM—head straight to the Animals in Need stall for details. Each class lasts about 15 minutes, but some may take a little longer depending on the number of entrants.

🌟 Best in Show
If your pup wins a class, you’ll be invited to compete in Best in Show, which will be judged by none other than last year’s champion! 🏅🐾

2pm Market closes.

3pm - Creperie and Coffee Hut close.

The sun is finally making an appearance!!! ☀️

Our most recent pack walk was still very muddy but we had sunshine and it was lovely! Looking forward to doing more of these where we can start packing away our coats and wellies 😂😂

Just want to wish everyone a Happy new year!! 2024 has been a tough year for the Mad for Dogs family but we still have each other going into 2025 and we are VERY grateful!!
Want to take this opportunity to thank my customers, you continue to make my dreams a reality and I spend my time with dogs 👏.
Hope your dogs are not too distressed by the awful fireworks later 😔 😡!!!!

DUE TO THE EXTREME WEATHER RECENTLY WE'VE DECIDED TO TAKE A WINTER BREAK.

We will be back open Sunday 2nd February.

Please check back early 2025 for more updates.

While we are closed you may see the main gates on Harborough Road open from time to time, please do not park in there. The gates could be closed at any point and you would be locked in.

It is with great regret that we feel we have no option but to cancel the Queen Adelaide Christmas Fayre tomorrow - Sunday 8th December- due to the horrendous weather and to ensure the safety of all participants and customers. We apologise for the lateness of the cancellation but we were keeping a close eye on the weather forecast, desperately hoping that it was going to improve.

We are looking at ways that we can still support the stallholders to sell their wonderful handmade products so watch this space!
