Animal Magic Dog Club We are a community Dog Club based near Aylsham, Cromer and North Walsham, Norfolk. At our dog club w Club membership is only £7.00 per calendar year.

You are welcome to join our club whether you live locally or are on holiday (please visit our web site for holiday accommodation options). Please feel free to visit us and watch any classes (by appointment).

What makes Animal Magic Magic? Today a member brought her new Spaniel along just to say hi and build her confidence. Millie is 10 and was rescued after seven years on a
Puppy farm and after surgery for cancer in her mammaries she has found a new home, late in life and is a bundle of happiness thanks to the lovely couple who have adopted her. Also today, a lady member, who is a long term agility class member and had a terrible fall, sustaining a broken collarbone on one side and broken wrist on the other, brought Betty along to Agility as another class member had volunteered to run her around the course for her ( Betty the dog that is 😂😂😂). Just so that Betty wouldn’t miss her Agility. What is it that brings the Magic??? It’s the people… (and the dogs, obviously😂)

Something to note: We are reframing our adult foundation training for dogs to bring a greater emphasis to sociability. This renamed course will be called “Sociability and Obedience (For Adult Dogs)”. This course replaces both Adult Junior Foundation and Adult Socialisation. We were finding that dogs booking onto Adult Junior Foundation very often had basic obedience in place and picked up very quickly with less emphasis and that Reactive dogs booking onto Adult Socialisation were rarely as bad as the owners feared. We always try to give real value for our courses and we believe that this course, for dogs over eight months old, will achieve this by combining training covering the two most common problem areas encountered by members.

HOT DOGS!
the annual reminder.... we do not operate over 25 degrees as determined by the Met Office App. If you class is postponed you will be notified by email or text message or both so you have no need to query. Two things to remember... above 25 degrees it is not safe to exercise your dog and surfaces get very hot! It is not unusual for vets to have to treat paws that have been burnt on hot pavements. Please research heat counter measures carefully and make sure that your dog has plenty of water. Soaking bought coats and then putting them on your dog can be counter productive as the wet coats can trap heat rather than disperse it, an air drying wet own coat can certainly help. Walk early, walk late, avoid the heat of the day. Enjoy the weather!

The Cinnamon Trust benefitted to the tune of an astonishing £750 from trainer Debbies's Big Walk from Bradfield Cricket Club on Bank Holiday Monday. How terrific is that??? Well done Debbie and thanks to all who took part.... incredible sum for a great dog charity.
