This year has been incredibly challenging for dog trainers and other dog professionals, with more lesson cancellations and lost income than ever.
When they cancel training because of the weather or ground conditions, they're putting your dog's safety and welfare first, even when that decision directly affects their own livelihood.
Please remember the person behind the business. ❤️
Be kind, be understanding, and support your local dog professionals whenever you can.
They care deeply about your dogs—and sometimes doing the right thing comes at a cost to them. 🐾❤️
IT’S A RUFF TIME FOR DOG PROS ❤️
When it’s too hot to safely work, they put your dog first, but that often means losing their income.
Most are self-employed. No sick pay. No holiday pay. No guaranteed wage.
Then there’s fuel, insurance, CPD, equipment and all the other costs of running a responsible business. For many ethical dog pros, there really isn’t much left at the end of it.
And most won’t tell you that.
So if your dog pro has to cancel because of the heat, please support them where you can. Rebook, leave a review, recommend them or simply share their business.
