What did you do on this rainy day?
I have imprinted a new odour using the Visscher technique and it worked a treat. New odour in one box first, then add further boxes, then add distraction scent to all the other boxes to prove the task is understood and then generalise in a room search.
Well done Laoise!! First video shows 1 box with target odour and all other boxes with decoy scent.

What a Saturday and a half!
Stunning private location, we had all seasons in one day and did a Special on Scent Detection and track/trailing for 8 teams. Some of the teams escaped the camera (sorry Kali!).
Outdoor hides are a little more tricky than inside as wind, humidity and distraction odour (wildlife) play a big role. All teams did so well. We did tracks in high grass which is rather tricky for the smaller dogs and is a proper kangaroo style workout.
Team Tilly did their ML Rural 6 assessment and passed with flying colours despite the difficult environment.

Hats off to Toby's dedicated owners asking for help and putting so much effort into helping him make better decisions when seeing other dogs.
They only have him a short time and he's making so much progress with his on lead reactivity towards other dogs.
This is Toby's second session and we still have a lot of work to do to make him feel better about other dogs when he is on lead.
In the first part of the video, our calm stooge dog Possum is sitting quietly with her back towards us about 50 yards away.
Within this session, we managed to get Toby to be ok with parallel walking alongside Possum. This is not about walking nicely on lead, it's about coping with another dog near by, the movement of himself and the other dog and be able to happily play with his ball and take treats nearby the other dog. The family are doing great, proud of Toby and thanks for trusting us to help you through this.
Thanks to fellow Instructor Ciara from Oracle Dogs and Possum for being so patient and staying calm during this session.
Onwards and upwards, we got this!

1:1 session with Buddy - he did so well! We were working on keeping his lovely drive but taking some leg out of the search and putting more brain in instead.
This will lead to a much more efficient and effective use of all his sniffing.
We are well on the journey to improvement. Love teaching this team :-)
