☀️🐾 🌡️ IT’S A WEE BIT TOASTY OUT THERE! 🌡️ 🐾☀️

With the temperatures climbing, here’s a little reminder to help keep our four-legged friends safe and comfortable. ❤️

🐶 Walk your dog early in the morning or later in the evening when it’s cooler.
🐾 Always check the pavement with the back of your hand – if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for their paws.
💧 Make sure they have plenty of fresh, cool water available throughout the day.
🌳 Stick to shaded areas where possible and avoid too much running around in the heat.
🚗 Never leave your dog in a parked car, even for just a few minutes.
❄️ Cooling mats, damp towels and frozen dog-friendly treats can help them stay comfortable.

Remember, our dogs can’t tell us when they’re too hot, so it’s up to us to keep an eye on them. ❤️

🐾 A Little Reminder From Absolutely Barking 🐾

We are incredibly busy at the moment and are receiving lots of calls requesting appointments within the next week or two. Unfortunately, our next available appointment is currently at the end of July.

To avoid disappointment, we kindly ask all customers to book their dog’s next appointment in advance, especially if you prefer a particular day, time, or grooming schedule.

We’d also like to gently remind everyone that our team can only offer the appointments we have available. While we completely understand it’s frustrating when we can’t accommodate your preferred date, we always appreciate kindness and courtesy when discussing availability. 💜

We are open and operating as normal during this difficult and unsettling time in our community.

However, we completely understand that some people may feel anxious or unsafe travelling at the moment. If you have an appointment booked and would prefer to rearrange, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will do our very best to accommodate you.

🐾 Dog Bather Required – Absolutely Barking, Newtownabbey 🐾

Absolutely Barking is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Dog Bather to join our busy, friendly grooming salon.

Duties will include:
🐶 Bathing and drying dogs of all breeds and sizes
🐶 Preparing dogs for grooming appointments
🐶 Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
🐶 Assisting the groomer when required
🐶 Providing excellent care and attention to every dog

The ideal candidate will be:
✔ Reliable and punctual
✔ Confident handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments
✔ Hard-working and able to work in a fast-paced environment
✔ Friendly and professional with clients
✔ Previous experience preferred but not essential as training can be provided

This role would suit someone passionate about dogs who enjoys being part of a small, dedicated team.

Hours and pay to be discussed depending on experience.

With the warmer days on the way, please remember our dogs feel the heat much quicker than we do 💛

A few simple steps can help keep them safe and comfortable:

we said goodbye to beautiful wee Daisy 🌼💔
18 years young, and loved every single day of her life.

We’ve said it time and time again — our customers are fantastic, and we truly love our Absolutely Barking family. The bonds we build with both you and your furbabies mean the world to us, and when the time comes to say goodbye, our hearts break alongside yours.

We are so thankful to have been trusted to be a small part of Daisy’s long and happy life. From puppy years to golden oldie cuddles, it’s a privilege we never take for granted.

Run free over the rainbow bridge, sweet girl. 🌈🐾
You will be so deeply missed but never forgotten.
