Ed Dunlop and his wife Becky, supported by an enthusiastic and friendly team in the office and a squad of dedicated lads and lasses in the yard, are focussed on delivering success With 24 Group or Grade 1 wins in eight countries on three continents – not to mention the odd glorious near miss – the tireless globetrotter and his formidable team of travelling staff have taken on and beaten the best w
ith such equine legends as Ouija Board, Snow Fairy and current stable star Red Cadeaux. Those three stars between them have amassed close to £12 million on their travels, but that doesn’t mean that life at La Grange Stables is all about the jet set. As Ed closes in on 1,000 domestic winners, he continues to deliver the goods on all levels for a broad spectrum of owners, from lords, ladies and sheikhs to the most enthusiastic of syndicates. His roll of honour covers every inch of the British Turf - from the Classic glories of Ouija Board and Snow Fairy to the Haydock Sprint Cup victory of Iktamal and big handicaps at Royal Ascot, Glorious Goodwood and beyond – and the 2013 Canadian International win of Joshua Tree reaffirmed that his move across town to La Grange in 2009 has done nothing to stem the tide of success. The prestigious yard on the Fordham Road has almost a century and a half of history behind it, and in Ed Dunlop it now houses a trainer who is intent on maintaining that proud tradition. Together with wife Becky, their three daughters, a loyal band of staff and much-valued owners, Ed is busy making history of his own.
