Remember Nova?
The dog who couldn't be next to another dog unless it was the one she lived with.
Well... look at this! 👏🐾
We did have a few reaction "buffs" along the way, and we even worked with her owner on the other side of the room. But what stood out most were the moments of relaxation. Nova was able to settle, observe, and even go in for a few sniffs.
Poor Max had already had a very busy day and honestly couldn't have cared less at this point 😂. He was ready for bed, so there was no attempt at play from him today. That can come in a few weeks when Nova is ready.
For many people, this might not seem like a huge achievement. But for Nova and her owner, it's massive.
Not only is Nova highly reactive to both dogs and people, but she also finds being separated from her owner stressful and has shown resource-guarding behaviours around her human in the past.
Building enough trust for both Nova and her owner to feel comfortable taking these steps has taken time, patience and a lot of hard work. Seeing breakthroughs like this makes every small win worth celebrating.
A few months ago, her owner never thought this would be possible. Yet here we are. ❤️
Progress isn't always linear, but if you keep showing up, keep practising and keep celebrating the small wins, those small wins eventually become moments like this.
I'm incredibly proud of both of them. 👏🙌🐾

We've got a full evening of fun, training, and socialisation planned today with a few spaces still available across our sessions!

🕞 3:55pm – Foundation to Focus Puppy & Adolescence Class
Perfect for building focus, confidence, engagement, recall, and loose lead walking.

🕔 5:00pm – Perfect Pooch Obedience Class
Helping dogs and owners develop real-life obedience skills, impulse control, and reliability.

🐕 6:00pm – Dog Social
A controlled social session designed to help dogs develop appropriate social skills and confidence.

⚡ 7:00pm – Reactive Social Class
A safe, structured environment for reactive dogs to gain valuable exposure and learn to relax around other dogs.
