🎆 Bonfire Night🎆

At Fluffy Butts Rescue, we know Bonfire Night can be loud, chaotic, and stressful for many people & this is true for animals too.

For rabbits and guinea pigs it can be genuinely frightening. These gentle prey animals are highly sensitive to noise, light, and changes in their environment.

Here’s how you can help keep them safe and calm tonight:

🐰 Bring Them Indoors
Move outdoor animals into a quiet indoor space like a utility room. Even temporary shelter can make a huge difference.

🐹 Block Out the Bangs
Close windows and curtains to muffle sound and block flashes.

🎶 Create Calm
Play soft music or leave the TV on low to mask firework noise. Familiar sounds can be soothing.

🧺 Extra Hay, Extra Hiding
Give them plenty of hay and hiding spots. A cardboard box filled with hay makes a perfect burrow.

🥕 Stick to Routine
Feed and interact with them as usual. Routine helps reduce anxiety.

💨 Watch for Smoke
If they cannot come inside, make sure smoke from nearby fireworks isn’t drifting into their space. Good ventilation is essential.

💛 Check In Often
Pop in regularly to reassure them. Your calm presence can help them feel safe.

✨ Even if they seem okay, rabbits and guinea pigs often hide their fear. If you have any worries please contact your local vet.

Our Story

A dedicated & personal Dog walking & Pet care service now in its 7th year. We walk small groups up to maximum of four dogs per walk and never leave dogs in vehicles whilst doing another walk. In addition to Kate (owner), 4Paws has three walkers who care for the dogs on walks or visit in the home. We all enjoy what we do and treat the dogs in our care as our own.

DISCOUNTS are available for 4x walks plus per week and for holiday bookings of more than two weeks. 4Paws provides holiday visits & walks in your own home for dogs, cats, rabbits/guinea pigs, hamsters and more! 25+years experience in caring for cats/rabbits Many years experience in walking and caring for variety of dogs

Kate is a full member with the IMDT (institute of modern dog trainers) and provides positive dog training in the Newcastle under Lyme and North Staffs area, offering a fresh approach to helping dog owners new and old.
