A huge well done to Cheddar, our Dog of the Month for May! 🎉

Cheddar has settled into the group so well and has been doing amazing with his recall. When he first started, he was very shy and nervous, but his confidence has grown so much over time. Now he runs to the door and straight to the car ready for his walks! 🐶💛

☀️ HOT WEATHER UPDATE ☀️

With temperatures forecast to reach very high levels again today, I’ve made the decision to cancel walks for the day to keep all dogs safe and comfortable in the heat.

As much as I know the dogs love their walks, their wellbeing always comes first, and with temperatures already reaching around 25°C early this morning, it’s just too warm for safe walks.

I will still be offering drop-in visits, toilet breaks, garden time, feeding, enrichment, and check-ins where needed throughout the day 🐾

Thank you so much to all my lovely clients for your understanding and support during the warmer weather. Hopefully with cooler temperatures forecast from Wednesday, we’ll be back to normal soon 🤞

☀️🐾 It’s officially a “sniff the garden and go back inside” kind of day!

With another hot day ahead, please think twice before heading out for walks. Dogs can struggle in the heat far more quickly than we realise — especially older dogs, flat-faced breeds, and fluffy companions. 🌡️🐶

Quick hot weather reminders:
🐾 Pavements can burn paws
💧 Keep fresh water available
🌳 Shade is your best friend
🚫 Never leave dogs in cars — even for a minute

No dog ever complained about missing one walk… but they will happily accept frozen treats and extra fuss instead. 🍦🦴
