Watch out for these little guys hiding in bushes and long grass! 🐍

Although adder bites in dogs are rare, they are quite serious.

Knowing the signs that may indicate your dog has been bitten can make all the difference.

Here are the signs to look out for after a walk:

👉 Sudden swelling (often on a leg or the muzzle)

👉 Pain, limping

👉Distress

👉 Puncture marks (though they’re not always easy to spot)

👉 Lethargy

👉 Drooling or vomiting

If you think your dog’s been bitten, call us straight away. Don’t delay, and don’t let your dog walk it off. Keep them as quiet as possible to reduce the spread of venom.
