WE HAVE AVAILABILITY 🐾

We have availability to take on additional dogs for group walks (1 hour)

Open from 7.30am Monday to Friday

We take a maximum of 4 dogs per walk and cover Morecambe, Heysham and Torrisholme

Dog walks are £15 per hour (discount available for multiple dogs from the same household and a reduction is also given when you book walks Monday to Friday on an ongoing basis for single dogs on an hour walk )

Happy Paws has been established for over 6 years

Completed and regularly update my dog first aid course

Up to date DBS

I have a fully kitted out van for collecting and dropping dogs off before and after walks

Pet friendly Karcher for washing down the pooches if they get dirty whilst out (nobody wants to come home from work to a dirty dog and a house covered in sand or muddy paw prints)

More business improvements as promised 🌟

The DT crash tested crate system has been purchased today and should be with me ready to install into the van by mid June 😀

That's me eating beans on toast for the next six months whilst I pay the crates off, but your pooches safety during transportation is the most important thing 🐾

How lovely is this 😍

Bit of a soppy one today but I just wanted to take a minute to talk about my fellow dog walkers and my journey into this business.

When I first started this business I felt quite isolated. After ten years in the NHS, I'd been used to busy wards and offices, colleagues that became friends and very little time to myself in a working day.

When I started this business I suddenly had no colleagues, and comparatively little social interactions. Of the few dog walkers I knew, one was very cut throat, for them it was about eliminating the competition, monopolise the area and drive all the other walkers out of business. It felt cold and frankly, quite lonely being pushed towards that mindset.

Thankfully, over the last couple of years I've been able to get away from people with such a mindset and have actually been able to mingle with a lot of the other dog walkers in our local area and I'm grateful to say that the wider community is not the same as what I experienced at the start of this journey.

The dog walking community, minus small exceptions is one of warmth and support. There's no big competition, and no hostility. From stopping for a quick chat when I get back to the van, to messaging for advice about a particular issue, to referring on potential clients that they could not accommodate, the dog walking community really is a lovely place to be and I now feel like I have colleagues again.

Despite being a one-person operation, I do feel like I have my own little team. We shouldn't need to put another business down to make our own look better, we can all just be proud enough of what we offer to not need to try and point out someone else's short comings.

Without further ado, I'd just like to say thank you to the following dog walkers. Big or small, you have in someway shown kindness and support and made me feel welcome in what was initially quite a lonely journey.

Massive thank you to David One Man & His Dogs - Walking Service for taking my 2 pooches out today so I could go day drinking in Manchester 😆 🍺 🐾 sometimes even a dog walker needs a dog walker 😆

REMINDER

Price increases as of 1st June 2026

Group walks for one dog will be increasing by £1 to £15. The friday walk is still half price for individual dogs walked 5 days a week on an ongoing basis
Additional dogs from the same household will be increasing by £1 per dog to £9

Pet visits (15 mins) will be increasing by £1 to £12 for up to 2 animals. Any additional animal after the first 2 will be an additional £2 charge

If you have any other walk or visit in place with me each time I attend will also increase by £1

I'm sure you will all understand it's becoming harder and harder for small businesses to stay afloat at the moment. For the benefit of your dogs I keep the group walks to as small a group as I can but this has an impact on my earnings.

Also for those who forget to transfer payment on a friday please set up a standing order. I shouldn't have to keep reminding people to pay 🐾
