We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Blueie, a beautiful 7+ year-old Quaker parrot, into our rescue family. 🥰

Blueie has now arrived safely and we’re looking forward to getting to know this gorgeous little character, learning all about their personality, routine and likes and dislikes, and giving them all the love, care and attention they deserve. 💕🏡

At 7+ years old, Blueie has already experienced quite a bit of life, and we’re so happy that they now have a safe place where they can relax, feel loved and be themselves. 🥹💙

🌿 Looking for Large Tree Trunks/Logs 🌿

Does anyone have any large tree trunks or chunky logs that they no longer need?

We’re looking for some to add to our rescue’s animal enclosures to create a more natural, enriching environment for our chickens and other residents. They make fantastic climbing, perching, and exploring features.

If you’ve recently had a tree cut down or have any large logs taking up space, we’d be incredibly grateful if you could donate them to our rescue rather than sending them to waste.

💔 Update on Pickles 💔

It is with heavy hearts that we share that Pickles has been found, but sadly she is no longer with us. 😢

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who shared our post, kept an eye out, and sent kind messages of support. Your kindness meant so much to us during this difficult time.

Pickles was a much-loved little budgie who brought so much happiness, and she will be deeply missed. Fly high, beautiful girl. 🕊️💚

Thank you all again for your support. Please keep Pickles’ family in your thoughts as they come to terms with this heartbreaking loss. 💙

Missing Budgie – Please Keep an Eye Out

Our beloved budgie, Pickles, has sadly escaped. She is my partner’s much-loved pet, and we are desperate to bring her home safely.

She was last seen in Lydd-on-Sea. Pickles has a distinctive white patch above her beak.

If you live in or around the area, please keep an eye out. If you think you’ve seen her or are able to help in any way, please get in touch as soon as possible.

🖌️ Another busy day at the rescue! 🐹💚

Today has been all about giving this hutch a complete makeover! We’ve spent the day painting it and getting it ready for some of our rescue guinea pigs.

It’s amazing what a bit of time, effort, and paint can do. We can’t wait to get it fully set up with cosy bedding, hideaways, and everything our piggies need to feel safe and comfortable.

Every enclosure we prepare helps us give another animal a second chance, and we’re so excited to see this one become a happy new home. 🏡

These two have now started their new chapter with us and will be given all the love, care, and patience they deserve. They’ll enjoy plenty of flight time, fresh vegetables every day, enrichment, and a safe forever home where their welfare always comes first.

Every animal that comes into our care becomes part of our family, and we’re committed to giving them the very best life possible.

🐾 What a busy weekend it’s been here at Robin’s Rescue & Rehabilitation! 🐾

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to improve the lives of the animals in our care. This weekend we’ve upgraded our outdoor guinea pigs’ enclosure by adding a hutch onto the side of their run, giving them even more space, shelter and enrichment to enjoy.

We’ve also been busy building a large temporary enclosure ready to welcome two rescue Sulcata tortoises, who will be arriving at the rescue on Wednesday. We can’t wait to give them a safe and comfortable place to settle while they’re in our care.

As always, we’re incredibly grateful for the kindness and support we receive from our amazing community. We are still accepting donations for the rescue, whether it’s animal food, bedding, hides, enrichment items, or a small monetary donation. Every single penny and every item donated goes directly back into the rescue, helping us improve enclosures, provide enrichment, and ensure all of our animals receive the best possible care.

Without your continued support, we simply couldn’t help as many wonderful animals as we do. Thank you for being part of our journey. ❤️

Rescue Update:
🐹 We are currently at full capacity for guinea pigs.
🐰 We are also at full capacity for rabbits.

Unfortunately, this means we aren’t able to take any more guinea pigs or rabbits into the rescue at the moment. However, if you’re struggling and need to rehome one, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’ll always do our best to offer advice, support, and help you find them a safe and loving forever home.

🚨 Wanted – XL Insulated Dog Kennel 🚨

We’re urgently looking for an extra large insulated dog kennel for some new large Sulcata tortoises arriving at our rescue on Wednesday. 🐢💚

We’re hoping to either:

* Buy one cheap, or
* Receive one as a kind donation.

Requirements:
✅ Minimum size: 4ft x 4ft (larger is even better)
✅ Insulated
✅ In good, weatherproof condition

As we don’t have suitable transport, delivery to the Old Romney (TN29) area would be hugely appreciated.

If you have one sitting unused, or know someone who does, please send me a message. Every share could help us get these tortoises the warm, safe shelter they need.
