Cats Conkers Boarding Cattery A newly established private boarding cattery between Witney and Burford in West Oxfordshire. Since 1993 I have been involved with the welfare of animals.

Hand rearing has been my speciality since that time. I started with hedgehogs from new-born and progressed to kittens. I have a huge respect for all animals including wildlife and I am particularly fond of cats. I have worked and am currently still working as a volunteer for most of the cat charities and over the years have honed my skills at hand rearing kittens. I am able to rear kittens if nece

ssary from less than one day old. I rarely lose a life. I currently have three 15 year old cats which I took in as kittens. All these cats have medical issues which made them difficult to rehome after I had reared them. They are very special to me. Over the years and during my professional capacity I have attended many cat behaviour courses. All cats are treated as individuals by me as I am aware they all have different needs !!! Opening this boarding cattery is the realisation of my dreams for many years. There is such a need for good quality accommodation for cats when their owners are on holiday and I will look after each and every one of them as if they were my own.

Last week I made the sad announcement that Queen, my much loved companion of twelve years had come to the end of a long and happy life due to her medical issues.

Queen was my third Staffordshire and all three girls gave me immense joy and love.

I will be looking for a new Staffordshire companion as the house is completely empty without a dog. Even my five cats are missing her and are wandering around aimlessly😻.

Due to the fact that I do have the five cats and free range poultry I think it will need to be a Staffordshire puppy so she can learn the art of hand rearing kittens and to be respectful of all things animal…..and of course human!

I really do love the Staffordshire breed and in the right hands they make the most amazing companions.

The cat in the picture is Norman. Queen and I hand reared him along with his brothers and they all thought that Queen was their mum. Norman went to live with one of my customers so I will see him again.

For the last thirty six years I have been the proud owner of three different Staffordshire Bull Terrier girls. Most of my customers probably are not even aware of a dog being here as they have been so quiet and very well behaved. All three girls have helped me when I have hand reared kittens and all three have been excellent foster mothers.

Prior to being a Staffordshire owner I puppy walked for guide dogs and four of my five puppies made it to being fully fledged guide dogs.

My heart was saddened when last Friday Queen, my eleven year old staffie had to be euthanised due to serious medical issues and it became unfair on her to continue.

These flowers are from my friends and lovely customers in memory of my dearest dog friend who has now crossed the bridge to become a sunbeam.

I thank each and every one of you for your kindness🦋🦋🦋🦋😆
