Super cutie, lovely, playful and energetic Lola is looking for a new home as her family live in a flat and are expecting another baby. They feel they cannot give her the time, attention and the life she deserves. This is a very genuine and extremely reluctant rehome, as they simply adore her.
Lola is not your typical "life in the slow lane" Bulldog, in fact she is lively, energetic and very playful. She also walks nicely on the lead next to her owner.
Lola loves other dogs, is excitable and attempts to play when she meets them. She will also back off if given a cue to do so. She doesn't live with other dogs but regularly visits a dog sitter and neighbours who have dogs and she loves it. We would love to see her rehomed to a family with other dogs.
Lola doesn't live with cats but has seen them. Her owner feels she would be scared of them but would not attempt to chase. We feel she could be placed with a dog-savvy cat.
Lola is a very easy-going girl and her family cannot fault her behaviour around children. She is extremely gentle around the two year old she lives with and has been raised with her from newborn. She is amazing around all children of all ages. She is naturally playful and is used to visiting: 4/6/10/16. She also stays with a family who have children aged 2-12 so we are happy to allow her to go to a family with babies up. 0+
Lola is fantastically friendly with all people. She is obsessed with tennis balls and can jump for them but she will sit and wait when her owner tells her to. Lola will give up her balls for a treat. She is well behaved and play and food driven meaning training is easily managed.
Lola is fine to be left at home for 3-4 hours and is used to dog walkers coming in for a fuss and taking her out. She currently lives in a 2nd floor flat and would absolutely thrive in a home with access to a lovely garden.
She is mostly clean in the house but can have an accident of left too long (over 6 hours). She will also p*e in her bed, more commonly at nighttime. This may improve when she becomes used to a new routine when living in a house with access to a garden.
Lola is fine in the car and has done journeys of over 2.5 hours. She can get warm and pant a little but is generally calm and quiet in the car.
Lola has had one cherry eye surgery and BOAS surgery, and she is currently on no ongoing medication at all. She is reportedly otherwise fit and well.
