Good morning and happy bank holiday weekend 👋 and, dare I say it, the last one before Christmas 🎄🙊 so I'm going to make the most of it 😁
I'm in need of a long weekend after the upheaval at the shop this week 😫. It's taken a while to sort out but we've finally had the smashed window replaced 🪟 and what a job it was!!!!
But, as you can see the new window is in and temporarily decorated with shower curtains 😁 until we can get the new graphics organised.
Personally I quite like the view of the sea and the tropical plants, but then a customer came in and asked if we had a wider range of shower curtains for sale, so we definitely need the graphics sorting 😂
I now need to start designing the new graphics, maybe a giant picture of me to fill the whole window, what do you think 🤔

Evening everyone, Archie here 👋🤗
I know what you're thinking 🤔, where's Ernie??? Don't worry he's absolutely fine (I might have shut him in the pantry while I write this post but I will let him out later🤣)
I thought it was about time that I had a go at this Instagram thing and I've got the perfect products to tell you about 👍
I might not look like it but I'm 12 and a half and as much as I think I can run round like a puppy 🐕I am a bit slower nowadays so dad has got me some brilliant supplements that are helping to keep me young
The Projoint is fabulous for my joints and general wellbeing. I've been taking it for a while and I'm bouncing around like a goodun now 😁
And the Prohealth is new in, so I'm testing it out. This is good for gut health, skin and coat, and good eye health (although I don't wear glasses and Ernie does so I've got one up on him there already 😀)
I'll keep you posted on how good they are, but if you see me racing along by the river blinding you with my shiny coat then you'll know they're working.
Anyway, I suppose I should let Ernie out now 🤣 and I'm sure he'll be back on here next week, enjoy your weekend love Archie xx

Afternoon all 👋
Sorry I'm late posting but I've been engrossed in my new book📚 . I've not really been into reading before but my mum always has her head in a book and as today is National Book Lovers Day I thought I'd give it a go.
Obviously it had to be a book with a dog theme 🐕so I chose The Hound of the Baskerville's, mum did say I might have bitten off more than I can chew with it and would have been better off with 101 Dalmatians, but I said that reading about one dog sounded easier than about 101 😁, although I think she might have had a point it's not quite what I expected 😂🤣
If you want to join me I can recommend getting a book or two from (the book shop on Crown Square) they have loads to choose from and they are really good value.
Right I'm off to read another chapter and see what Sherlock Bones is up to now, just need to remember where I left my glasses 🤓, see you soon love Ernie xx

Hello 👋 happy Saturday everyone 😊
It's a busy weekend with Y Not and the Steam Rally, unfortunately I'm not going to either 😞 I'm working instead (you can get the violins out for me if you like 🎻😂)
I don't mind working really, especially as I'm working on the frozen food, it's keeping me quite cool in the heat 😁
The stock is from Durham Animal Feeds and I can't believe how much choice there is, it's making my mouth water 🤤, all the blocks are 454g and cost £2.20 each. So far I've put beef, turkey, chicken, oily fish, and game, in the freezer and there's still more!!
The best bit though has been the frozen kefir yogurt 😋🍦 very tasty and to keep it simple they are £2.20 each too.
So, whatever you're doing this weekend enjoy yourselves and I'll see you soon love Ernie xx

Hello everyone 🤗 hope you're all well and enjoying the weekend
I'm having a very exciting weekend ☺️ there's lots happening, it's the football final tomorrow so I've been trying my shirt on in preparation, fingers crossed for a win 🤞
The new football kit for Matlock Town Ladies has been revealed and we're sponsoring the back of the shirt. Doesn't it look fantastic? 😍
And last but not least it's my dad's birthday 🎂🎈 he asked for bubble bath and chocolate for his present so I went very posh and bought him some Matey bubbles and ferrero Rocher, as you can see he's pleased as punch 😁
Now it's time for birthday cake 🍰😋, enjoy the rest of your weekend and good luck the the England Ladies team ⚽ 🤞🤞🤞

Sorry for the radio silence but I've had a busy weekend with family barbecues 😋🍖🌭 and get togethers in the build up to my dads birthday 🥳🎂.
Luckily the rain held off for the barbecue last night so I managed to get a nibble of most of the food, and I can safely say the sausages with bacon and cheese were delicious 🤤🤤🤤
Unfortunately tonight the rain and thunder ⛈️⚡ has ruined it for us and I'm currently coming to you from behind the pantry door 😱 and, as you can see from the photo, our road has turned into a river 🌊
Hopefully it calms down and I can get in my bed seeing as I'm in my pyjamas and ready to go to sleep 💤 😴 🤞🙏

Happy Saturday everyone 👋 and it's looking like a hot one again🥵🔥
In fact it's too hot for me to work, so I'll have to take one for the team and stay at home 😁 (or should I say in the beer garden 🍺 😂), obviously I won't be drinking beer and I won't be going until it gets a bit cooler and my dad will have to come with me (he says it's to keep an eye on me 👀 but I bet he has a couple of pints while he's there 🍻🤣)
In all seriousness it really is too hot for us pooches to be out and about, so I encourage you to stay home and keep cool 😎
The grown ups are welcome to come out and buy you a cooling mat, bandana, or a cooling jacket, they could even get you a frisbee or a football to play with when it cools down 👍
Whatever you do this weekend stay cool, keep hydrated, and relax, you deserve it, love Ernie xx

Hello everyone 🤗 I can't believe it's Sunday again, that's another busy week over and done 👍
I've been inspired this week to try my paws at baking 🍰🍪 after trying some tasty Betty Miller biscuits at the shop 😋
We've not been able to get hold of them for ages so had to stock up as soon as we saw they were back in. I think the cheese ones are my favourite 🤤
I've also been sampling the veggie treats (a dog has to be healthy if he wants to run round and chase balls you know 😁) and they are really good.
Who knew that carrot, 🥕 cabbage, 🥬 parsnip, and peanut butter could look and taste so good
So this led me to getting into the kitchen, rolling up my sleeves, and getting the baking trays out. I don't think Mr Kipling has anything to worry about 🤣 but my biscuits didn't turn out too bad (once you scraped off the burnt bits 🙈)
I'm off to try my paws at pupcakes now, if they turn out ok I might show you a picture, but don't hold your breath 😂, love Ernie xx

Morning all 👋, hope you're well and enjoying the weather 🌡️🌞
Here at the shop this week we've been looking at casting off in a new direction and have got some new stock which is un-bait-able 🪱 😁, yes, you've got it, we now sell maggots for fishing 🎣, it's even got me excited and I've been out with my rod by the river 😊
They can be bought as a pint or a half pint and cost £3.50 a pint and £1.80 for half a pint. You'd best get a wriggle on if you want to tackle your next catch (sorry for the puns🤦)
We also sell the fishing permits for , please ask at the counter for details
I also need to let you know that there won't be any home deliveries on 9th July, sorry 😔, but we will be delivering as normal on the 16th 🙌.
Now that I'm hooked on fishing 🐟🐠 I'm off to the river again (I have got a permit 👍), see you soon love Ernie xx

WOW IT'S HOT🔥🥵
I love the sunshine ☀️ but this is too much for me, I've given in and I'm chilling in front of the fan 😁 and keeping cool with a beer 🍻 (only joking about the beer 😜, that was my dad's)
Also a reminder to not take us furry friends out in the hot sun🌞, much better if we go out before 8 in the morning and after 8 at night when it's a bit cooler.
Taking us out in the heat is like you walking on the pavement in bare feet with a fur coat on in the middle of the day, and you wouldn't do that would you because I know you are all very responsible 👍
Quick promotion now, we've had a new range of collars and leads sporting the Union Flag 🇬🇧 and I think they look very smart. I could dig out my Union Flag tie to go with them, what do you think 😁
