Happy Saturday everyone 👋😊

Well, the fair’s rolled into town and I’ve decided it’s time to test my bravery! I’ve got my eye on the Waltzer — though I’m not entirely sure I’ll pass the height check… If not, I’ll have to settle for the tea cups 😆(although they're a bit tame for me, I'm used to spinning around at high speed as anyone who sees me out and about will tell you 🌀😂).

Either way, I’ll be spinning with a smile — treats waiting back at Peak Paws & Claws for anyone who joins me! 🐾

BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND? ☀️😎

Apparently it’s going to be HOT this weekend… which is all well and good until your humans start saying things like “let’s go for a lovely midday walk” 🥵🐾

Personally, I’ll be spending most of the weekend supervising from my chair with a toy nearby and absolutely no intention of moving unless snacks and a dip in the sea 🌊 are involved.

Just a little reminder from me to keep your dogs cool over the next few days:
💧 Plenty of fresh water
🌳 Shade and cool spaces
🐾 Early morning or evening walks
🚫 No hot pavements
🚗 And NEVER leave dogs in cars — not even for a few minutes

If your pooch needs somewhere chilly to flop dramatically, we’ve got lots of cool mats in the shop ready for the warm weather 😎❄️

Stay safe, stay cool, and if anyone needs me… I’ll be busy relaxing 😁

👋 Hi everyone, it’s Ernie!

It’s National Rescue Dog Day on Wednesday this week and I want to give a big happy tail wag 🐕 to all the amazing pups waiting for their forever home, and a big thank you to all at The Ark at Ashbourne, who work so hard to help pets find the families they deserve. They’re proper heroes in my book 🦸

If you’ve got a rescue dog in your life (or you’re thinking of welcoming one), I’ve got some top‑tier recommendations from a very experienced treat‑tester and toy‑destroyer 😜😂

My absolute favourite treats are Feelwells, especially the cheesy ones. They’re tasty, they’re natural, and I would do literally anything for one. Give a paw, spin round, even share them with Archie (well, maybe😆) No problem.

And for comforting snuggles I love our Ancol cuddly bone toys. They’re soft, they’re squeaky, and they make brilliant “welcome home” gifts for rescue pups starting their new adventures.

So, let’s celebrate the dogs who’ve been rescued, the ones still waiting, and the wonderful humans who help them along the way.

Afternoon all 👋 the boss has set me a task which has made me feel like an undercover collie 🔎
I've been monitoring the Aldi construction site this morning.

After all the recent trouble over a certain caterpillar cake 🐛🍰… the boss says we’re now on high alert to ensure we don’t become their next target.👀

I'll be continuing surveillance throughout the week in exchange for biscuits and belly rubs 😁 and we'll be stepping up security measures to ensure our toys, treats and shop secrets remain protected.

Once they're open I'll be closely watching the middle aisle for copycat products 🙀 snack sabotage and anything suspiciously familiar making its way onto their shelves 😹.

I don't do rivalry 😜, just top quality treats, fair prices, happy customers, and waggy tails.🐕🐩

Neighbourhood watch 👀 is active, I'll keep you posted 🤭

Evening all 👋 hope you're looking forward to the Bank holiday weekend and some more sunshine 🌞😎 I know I am

Before I get to enjoy the weekend the boss asked me to do a promotion for the new collars and leads we have in ready for the World Cup in June

His exact words to me were 'Why don't you get a patriotic photo of them on a bull dog ' but apparently he wasn't referring to me as 'dog' and that I should put the collar on a bull 🐂 😂 (how was I to know 🤷)

Anyway DaVVe the bull was very accommodating and really enjoyed being a model (apparently his next job is advertising pottery 🍵what could go wrong there 😁)

So, if you want to show your support for your national team, come in and treat your pooch (don't worry, the bull won't be there😆)

Evening everyone 🙌
I hope you're all enjoying the lovely weather 🔆 I certainly am and it's inspired me to get out in the garden and channel my inner Percy Thrower 👨‍🌾🌻🪻🌺

I think I'm doing quite well with what I've grown so far, mum said it makes a change from me digging plants up 🤭

We've even got plants for sale at the shop (but I have to admit that I didn't grow those), prices are very reasonable too and the summer bedding is 3 for £10 👍

Now there's no excuse for your garden not to look as good as mine 😁

This gardening lark is growing on me 😁 Turns out I wasn’t naughty… I was just horticulturally curious 😂, I'm off to water the plants now (with a watering can rather than cocking my leg 🤣)

Afternoon everyone Ernie here 🐾 😁

Apparently it’s Pet Owners Day tomorrow… which means today we celebrate the humans 🎉🥳

You know… the ones who:
Open the treat cupboard on demand 😋
Provide a daily walk service 🚶🐕‍🦺
Share their beds 🛌(whether we're invited or not)🤣
Pick up poo without asking questions💩😞

So well done to my mum and dad. You’re doing… OK 🤷 (only joking 😃, me and Archie are spoiled rotten 🥰)

ALSO… next week it’s Veterinary Receptionist Week 👏👏👏👏

Which means a special shoutout to the lovely team who:
📞 Answer the phones when you’re panicking because we “looked a bit funny”
📅 Always find you an appointment
🤭 And still smile when we have an accident in the waiting room

My advice for the week:
Be nice to your vet receptionists… they are very important people and they always look after me and Archie whenever we visit with lots of cuddles and treats 😊
(They also know things. Lots of important things.)

Right, I’m off to celebrate my mum and dad by demanding a snack 🤣😂 love Ernie xx

Hello everyone 🤗

Sorry I haven’t been at the shop this week — I got the call from NASA! They needed a brave dogonaut to join Artemis ll and help sniff out whether the Moon🌕 is really made of cheese (following in the paw‑prints of Wallace & Gromit 🧀✨ 😁).

Mission update: confirmed!
I’ve been exploring craters, chasing moon‑dust, and collecting samples. I’m even bringing back some lunar cheese to make out‑of‑this‑world dog treats for the shop.

Also… fun fact… the back of the Moon?
Yeah… it’s made of Stilton.
A bit smelly🥴 but perfect for a connoisseur like me. 😎🧀
