I have 2 adopted Podencos from Spain. Podencos & Galgo's are excluded from Spanish animal welfare law & are classed as a 'working animal' so their basic needs would not be under the same law as any other dog breeds who are classed as companion pets, meaning many are abused, neglected & abandoned.
It is however amazing to hear of so many rescues pulling together as one to help these 110 dogs
