Carrington Riding Centre We are a busy, yet friendly, and British Horse Society approved riding school where the recreational rider can enjoy the experience of being around horses.

We are a busy, yet friendly Riding School. We are approved by the Local Authority and The British Horse Society.. We are the only riding school in the North West with all of these accreditations. Based just a few miles south west of Manchester in the Mersey valley green belt. We are situated in 450 acres of open countryside yet still close to the motorway network

They organised a fantastic Macmillan Coffee & Cake Morning, raising an amazing £358, and also collected food and essential supplies for the homeless in support of Urban Outreach.

✨🎄 Best Christmas Hat Competition 🎄✨

We were delighted to welcome our Mayor and Consort, Jane & John Brophy, along with local MP Andrew Western, who kindly agreed to judge our Best Christmas Hat competition!

With so many incredible entries, they had a very difficult job choosing a winner — the creativity on display was absolutely amazing.

A huge well done to all of our students for their effort, imagination and festive spirit. Every hat was fantastic and truly showcased your creativity! 👏🎅🎩

We felt incredibly privileged to welcome Mayor Jane Brophy, Consort John Brophy, and our local MP Andrew Western to our school on Friday.

They spent time meeting our students and learning more about how our school works, which made the visit especially meaningful for everyone involved.

So yesterday we had some very interesting visitors turn up at our school… 👀
The Grinch and Gretel decided to drop in, much to the surprise (and delight!) of our staff and students!

There were plenty of laughs, shocked faces and festive fun as our unexpected guests made their way around the school, definitely adding a bit of mischief and magic to the day.

You never quite know who’s going to show up next around here… and we wouldn’t have it any other way! 😄🎅🎄

🎄✨ Staff Christmas Party Fun! ✨🎄

We had a fantastic time at our staff Christmas party today, with plenty of laughter, present swapping and a delicious buffet kindly provided by the fabulous Mel – thank you! 😋👏

Things got even more eventful when Santa (AKA Mark 🎅😂) made a surprise appearance and certainly stirred things up!

A huge thank you and Merry Christmas to our incredible team who have worked so hard this year to make our school the best it has ever been. We truly couldn’t do it without you.

Our Story

We are a busy, yet very friendly Riding School that provides affordable lessons to both adults and children. We are approved by the Local Authority, The British Horse Society, and The Pony Club.

We are based just a few miles south west of Manchester in the Mersey valley green belt. We are situated in 450 acres of open countryside yet still close to the motorway network and this allows us to offer fantastic off road hacking routes to our clients.

Our facilities include one indoor school and four, all weather, rubber surfaced outdoor floodlit menages with comfortable viewing facilities and fully stocked café.

We are the only riding school in the area to have our own Racewood Dressage simulator, the most advanced of its type in the world. On ‘Othello’, we can offer technical riding lessons to nervous or returning riders and beginners through to advanced dressage riders.
