Last up was Dixie who travelled from Wales this morning for her groom.

This girl just loves her adventures and getting into all sorts of mischief which usually involves something stinky! She was bathed at home yesterday because she doesn't like being dried so all I need to do is her groom

Beautiful Bella the Bedlington Terrier was our last visitor and bless her, she was so stressed today 😢.

It doesn't seem to matter what her owners & I try she is so nervous of everything including noises.

After her groom, she helped me tidy the salon before her, Scamp & I left for the day and I delivered her home, she was very happy to see her owners and be back in the safety of her own home.

First up we have a very handsome, but very squeaky chappy called Rupert.

Today it was his turn for a bath, blow dry and full groom which included a nail clip & ear clean. His owners also add teeth brushing to his appointment.

Well done Rupert💙🐾💙

Oscar the Cavapoo says he was relieved he was only in for a bath & blow dry today which included a feet & face tidy and ear clean.

Just like Rupert, he also had his teeth cleaned.

Some of you will have already noticed you are getting notifications from my new computer system which is called Pata.

All existing appointments and customer data that was on the old system (Tuft) has been transferred over and there is now a new online booking system.

For those of you that like to be organised, the diary is already open for next year and you can book your appointments online now using the link. Or if you prefer me to do the block bookings for you, you can email your preferred dates over to me at [email protected]

Next up for a much needed groom was Bruno the Shih Tzu.

Luckily I had a cancellation today so I was able to get him in two weeks before his original appointment date. His legs were matted today after lots of adventures over the summer. So I took him short all over, I thought short legs and fluffy body might make him look like a sheep 🐑

When poor Monty arrived for his appointment his owner mentioned that he'd become a little stiff on his right back leg and was reluctant to jump in the car. I offered to have a little look and see if I could pin point any problems so that she could then take him to the vets.

Prior to starting my dog grooming journey, I was a veterinary nurse for 23 years which puts me in a perfect position to spot anything unusual. I started by looking at his pads and found a thorn sticking in there, next I generally wiggled each of his toes and looked in between the toes and found a grass seed so removed that as well.

The deshedding mud I use for deshedding contains Magnesium minerals which is perfect for relaxing muscles & joints so I treated him to a relaxing mud bath on the affected leg.
