ADOPTING A CAT OR KITTEN
When any cats or kittens are ready we post on the page .
If you think you could offer a lovely home PHONE us
We then will choose which home suits a particular cat / kitten best
Don’t be offended - the right one will come in for you
We don’t keep waiting lists for particular colours - this shouldn’t really matter if you want to rescue a cat / kitten
Once posted they are ready then - we can’t keep them as we need space .
We give priority to local homes - this doesn’t mean we don’t home further afield
We give priority to people adopting pairs
In the case of kittens you will sign to say you will have it neutered
If ,after adopting ,you cannot keep you sign to say it will be returned to us
We are happy for you to adopt elsewhere but would like you to let us know so we know you’re not waiting x
Our cats / kittens change almost daily
We don’t book out any cats / kittens until they are ready to go .
We thank & appreciate everyone who adopts not shops x
This works for our small Rescue - as we don’t have many volunteers & pens are in our garden ###

RESERVED
ARLO is looking for his forever home .This beautiful ,playful kitten is in foster with Tracey & Peter .He was found & handed in several weeks ago but needed to get used to household noises & other cats .He is now very sociable ,plays continuously but still has time to have a snuggle on Peter or Tracey’s lap . He’s very energetic ,eats very well ,is used to other cats & purrs for England .Arlo’s perfect home would be with people who are home a lot ,have other young cats & lots of time to give him the attention he deserves .Even if you have filled in a form ,spoken with us on the phone or sent messages you must show your interest by phoning 01653697918
We expect a lot of enquiries for this lovely boy so will choose which home we think will suit him best x £65 adoption donation applies ,he has had his first vaccination but new owners are responsible for second & neutering x

FUNDRAISING EVENTS - we have published a list of up coming events & also advertise each one individually .Also send regular helpers reminders .
We are desperately short of help for events & the same few people shoulder all the work - prepare for the event,attend ,clear up after .
Constantly asking ,begging ,reminding & hoping people will turn up is taking its toll on James & I .Worrying about raising money & taking care of all the cats is proving very difficult at the busiest time of the year . From now on we will ask for volunteers & if we don’t get enough to run an event we will cancel it . We need to know in advance if anyone can help .
So what help do we need ? Mainly fundraising events - collect items for sale ,prepare tombola ,transport on the day ,help setting up & packing away .
Even a couple of hours is a great help .Our events are usually on Saturdays ,Sundays ,evenings for quizzes .With massive vet bills we NEED a to raise money .We are very aware of “ busy lives “ having done the cat rescue over 45 years whilst having full time professional jobs & having our lovely daughter ,taking care of elderly relatives & coping with personal illness & challenges .Really don’t want to spend our retirement years chasing people to help . So come on fundraisers - take a more pro active role & volunteer before being nagged . More helpers make lighter work plus more kits helped. Simples !

On the positive side - our pen cleaners / socialisers Valerie ,Ron ,Julie ,Jane ,Amelia ,Sarah ,Noah ,Caroline ,Rachel turn up rain or shine .Fosterers Ruth ,Jaz ,Shannon ,Lauren ,Toni ,Helena ,Nikki,Peter & Tracey are doing great work .

Job vacancies
Fundraising Co ordinator - book events ,supervise events ,check availability of volunteers .

Poster Creator - make ,display on page and print to be put up a poster for EVERY event from list provided .

Fundraising Assistants - go to events - be responsible for a stall - setting up & packing away

Pen Cleaners - come to the Rescue - clean out ,socialise cats & kittens .

Collection - go to pick up donations of bric a brac ,food etc

Sellers EBay /Vinted / Market place - collect, sell ,post items too good for market stalls etc

Vet trips - collect Amotherby - for neutering ,vaccinations etc

Help by adopting ,donating ,sharing posts x
