Wowzers! 🥵 That was a heatwave and a half 🌡️ ☀️

Everyone’s been in and having some time out of the sun (we didn’t turn out until 11pm Sunday & 10pm Monday)

We’ve also had a good bathing session…7 in total. No one’s talking to me now 🤣 But at least they’re cool and all that winter dirt and hair has gone 👋

I tell you what it’s a hard old life here at Higher Fence Farm🤣🤣

Wish I could just lie down on the ground and wait for someone to feed me and then clear it all up once I’d finished 🫠🤪

This AM all 3 of my girls after having a belly full last night…I got in there and they all let me have a snuggle lay with them! Letting me do that melts my heart ❤️ That is pure trust and I love every single one of them!

The cats tonight waiting for a tummy tickle and feeding time and finally Roxanne my partner in crime, my best mate, my poo picking buddy (yes she does help 🤢)

It’s hard sometimes and not every day is easy, but every day is full of love 🥰

I sometimes wonder how I got so lucky to have such amazing animals in my life and thank whatever twist of fate brought them to me😍

We love you so much and are so grateful for you! 🙏🏼

Even when you do go on your wanders looking for more food, somehow (although I’m still not sure how you did it) getting through the electric fence onto the good side AND showing the rest the way! 🌱

Putting the fear of god into me until you gallop up the field and then come in and look at me like it’s a me problem (suppose it is 🤪)

You’re a cheeky old chap and we absolutely love you for it!

Ermmm…this is definitely NOT what we ordered 🫠🌦️

Everyone waiting at the gate this morning, didn’t manage to get them in before the hail so I was in trouble 🤣

All in, enjoying some hay and brekkie…the benefits of stables when we/they need them! Even with a massive wood for shelter they all know when they’ve had enough and need a little nap 😴 🤣

Ahh well, nothing we can do about the weather and at least it’ll do my grass seed some good!

Let it grow 🌱 …keep the snow (actually hail)🤪

The big boys, a beautiful baby Shire & a sensible and stunning Clydesdale.

Being part of their journey is an honour. They’re so intelligent & loving.

Wonder how long this brand new, whiter than white rug will stay white…I turned her out 10 mins ago, so I’m guessing it’s brown already 🤣🫠

My pants are no longer black, I have more horse hair on me than the horses and I’m pretty sure we could make a new pony out of the hair I got off Gold & Sunshine today 🤣

They look ace though, summer coats are my fave 😍

On Tuesdays we tractor 🚜

Harrowing done (only 2 to go🤣), logs all split and stacked, shed tidied and obviously all ponies done ✅

And a little trip out to start getting two beautiful boys (Clydesdale & Shire) out and about seeing the world… 😍 More on them soon 🙏🏼

Busy day at HQ today, back to work for a rest 🤪

🍃 30 minutes foraging vs 3 seconds of enjoyment 😋

Safe to say the horses all came in and snaffled their cleavers 😂

Ahh well me and Lily had fun picking it and possibly sticking it to each other whilst the other wasn’t looking 🤪
