SWAT Pets

SWAT Pets Home-from-home dog boarding and doggy daycare for calm, small doggies (cuddles & snuggles included) - in and around the Forest of Dean / Wye Valley area.

Caring for your pets, like a member of our family. With only small dogs around, we're sure that your pet(s) can come and stay with us, without the worry of being bullied or 'bowled over' by anything large. We cannot accept any dogs that are knee height or more. Furthermore, we will also preclude Rottweilers, Staffies (or crosses) or any type of 'snow dog'. There is a growing list on our website in

the lower third of this page https://www.swatpets.co.uk/pet-boarding

Let us look after your dogs whilst you're away, be it for a few hours or a few weeks. Don't put your dogs into kennels where they will be kept in cages for the duration of your absence. Let them come and stay with us and roam the house, playing with our doggies. We promise to feed them, walk them and pamper them as if they were our own - and then return them to you when you return. We will ensure that your animals are walked (on or off the lead, as per your instructions) when they are staying with us, and played with throughout the day. Most importantly, we will NEVER let your dog be alone (unless it's for an absolute emergency). Please note that we have cats in our house, but they are not bothered by the presence of dogs and are kept seperate. If you don't want to have your dog stay with us, we can arrange to stay at your house if this is better for you. We can also offer a "Pet Taxi" service, taking your animal to any medical appointments that they have; if the appointment is local or further afield, we will be able to help. As we have our own animals, our house is already "dog-proof" with a secure rear garden. Furthermore, our vehicle has a secure cage in the rear to ensure the safety of all animals in transit. We have full UK driving licences which are clean, and have held these for over 30 years each. We also have completely clear criminal records. Should you have any questions, including costs, please drop us an email on [email protected]

Jax already has the keys to the house; Addie isn't old enough yet - not that that's stopping her from trying!

We're back from our break, and are working through our messages.

Please be patient as we work through everything that's arrived while we were closed.

Thanks

We're having a quick break until 18 May 25. Messages will not be actioned until our return - so if you're enquiring about something before then, we will be unable to help.

We'll be answering messages, in the order they were sent, upon our return.

Thanks

We're all getting very good at working out when it's safe for you to walk you dog in the GOOD weather, but what about in the weather we've got at the moment? The gloomy, cold, frosty, wintery weather - here's a very good guide:

Our Story

Caring for your pets, like a member of our family.

With only small dogs around, we're sure that your pet(s) can come and stay with us, without the worry of being bullied or 'bowled over' by anything large. We cannot accept any dogs that're larger than a Collie. Furthermore, we will also preclude Rottweilers, Staffies (or crosses) or any type of 'snow dog'. Let us look after your dogs whilst you're away, be it for a few hours or a few weeks. Don't put your dogs into kennels where they will be kept in cages for the duration of your absence. Let them come and stay with us and roam the house & rear garden, playing with our four dogs. We promise to feed them, walk them and pamper them as if they were our own - and then return them to you when you return. We will ensure that your animals are walked (on or off the lead, as per your instructions) when they are staying with us, and played with throughout the day. Most importantly, we will NEVER let your dog be alone. Please note that we have cats in our house, but they are not bothered by the presence of dogs. If you don't want to have your dog stay with us, we can arrange to stay at your house if this is better for you - this does take one of us away from our house, so if we have several dogs already with us this may not be something that’s possible. One this that we could offer, if it suits your requirements, is a “Quick Sit” where we will come to your hour for up to an hour, let your animals out (if needed) to have a play in the garden, clean and refresh any food & water, take out rubbish, open & close curtains, etc. Ask us more about it by calling us.

We can also offer a "Pet Taxi" service, taking your animal to any medical appointments that they have; if the appointment is local or further afield, we will be able to help. As we have our own animals, our house is already "dog proof" with a secure rear garden. Furthermore, our vehicle has a secure cage in the rear to ensure the safety of any animals in transit. We have full UK driving licences which are clean and have held these for over 20 years each. We also are licenced by DeFRA for the carriage of animals other than our own. We also have completely clear criminal records. Should you have any questions, including costs, please drop us an email on [email protected]
