A few weeks ago, we had a lovely surprise visit from 2 dog lovin' Aussies. 🇦🇺 🐶 🦘

We met Gill and Pat who also own a private dog park near Adelaide in Australia. It was crazy to hear how similar our experiences of running a dog park have been despite been from opposite sides of the world. 🌍

The only difference between us is we get too much rain and they don't get enough! 😅 🏜️ 🌧️

K9 Search and Rescue Northern Ireland is both baffled and deeply dismayed by the Department of Justice NI decision to reject a professional search and rescue team that specialises in locating missing persons. This decision not only undermines the vital work of trained search professionals but also represents a serious injustice to the people of Northern Ireland.

K9 Search and Rescue NI is a dedicated team of highly skilled volunteers who work alongside emergency services to provide critical search capabilities, particularly in high-risk missing person cases. The refusal to recognise or support our expertise is a significant setback in ensuring the best possible response to those in need.

The Department of Justice has declined to allow K9 Search and Rescue Northern Ireland to join the Northern Ireland Search and Rescue Practitioners Group, which means statutory authorities cannot officially task us with search operations.

We cannot understand why the DOJ NI would turn down a team that is trained, professional, and committed to saving lives.

This decision does not serve the public interest, and we will be appealing directly to the Justice Minister to reconsider this matter.

We will now make a final appeal to Justice Minister Naomi Long MLA. The decision will rest with Mrs. Long as to whether we can be officially tasked by statutory authorities to save lives—free of charge.

The team remains committed to its mission of helping families and communities across Northern Ireland and urges the DOJ NI to rethink this decision in the best interests of public safety.

A very happy mother's day to all the dog mums 💖 🐾

We hope your pups spoil you with snuggles and kisses.

We'd also like to share our appreciation for the dedicated mum behind Unleashed - Eileen! She works very hard making sure the park is the best it can be. From park checks every morning and evening to building cool fun-agility equipment for the dogs to enjoy to tackling all the unexpected challenges that come with running a dog park.

Here's to the amazing bad-ass women in our lives 🥂 🎉

We almost didn’t recognize these two long-time Unleashed regulars in their Wonderland disguises! 🐰 ♣️ ♥️

They kindly invited us to their Mad Hatter’s Murder Mystery Tea Party—a fantastic fundraising event for Knitted Knockers of Northern Ireland (KKNI). 💗 ✨

KKNI provides free, hand-knit breast prosthetics and post-surgery comfort kits to breast cancer survivors across Northern Ireland. Since 2016, they’ve delivered over 5,000 products and have since launched 'The Clubhouse' —a space for mental health, creativity, and social support for breast cancer survivors.

Some members of the KKNI also run Lurgan Players, an amateur dramatics group behind events like Halloween Fright Night, Fairy Folklore Festival, and this very tea party!🃏 🧙‍♂️ 🧚
