Dogs like Dylan

I specialise in 121s as I think where you live and walk and the life you share with your dog all have an impact on how to facilitate training. However I do see the value in group settings for training. Controlled distractions comradery and shared experience can be really beneficial.
However as a full time shift worker I myself struggle to join in weekly classes to help my dogs be the best version of themselves,I either have to pay for a course of sessions that I can only make maybe 2 of 8 or if I can make more sessions be disheartened as my dogs fall behind the others that can be there week in week out?

Is there a need for ad hock weekly sessions for shift workers/those with busy schedules to pay as you go if I facilitate a venue and weekly sessions where you tell me who's coming and who's not?? Could this be a thing?

As I recently tried sessions with my boys I felt disheartened that I would only be able to attend a few sessions each month but long for a group setting to practice myself with distractions and have a 'club' community?

If anyone is visiting a pets at home over the next few weeks...please could you have a rummage in the reduced baskets they have out for 1 or 2 of these collars ...my local one doesn't have anymore and they are discontinued....they are brilliant for a dog who likes to get wet alot!!! I'd like a spare or 2!!!
Needs to be in either a med or large or both!!! That's how much I love them!!!
I will go to any I pass but I can't cover that many!!! Thank you and please!!

Another on point recall...when I first worked with these dogs the red collie was actually so noise sensitive she would completely shut down if she heard it....look at her now...all credit to her owners hard work. Well done Ruth Rodwell xx

Here's something the whole IMDT team write, email, present, say, think and act on many times a day, every day:

"Keep focussed on the actual dog in question. It is the specific dog and the information you are gathering about them individually that is important, not so much dogs in general. Shut your eyes and put yourself in the room with the dog and their owners and imagine the scenario. This helps to teach you to apply the theory we are teaching you to the dog standing before you. One of the most important things we will teach you."

Lovely puppy walk this morning...with some familiar faces mixed with some new first timers at dogs like Dylan.

First time off lead for Maggie the labrador💖
Donny the bulldog learnt lots of restraint and controlled behaviour whilst in the company of people and dogs.

Sonic and betsy are seasoned professionals... growing in confidence and reliable recalls.

Happy relaxed and confident puppies this morning on a puppy assisted walk.
Similar age pups coming together to rehearse recall, socialisation and confidence building in real life situations...a park!!!
Sako and Ted the adult dogs came along too and Finley the 5 yr old who is learning all about how to raise a well educated puppy! Well done all what a lovely walk xx
