These overlooked dogs are affectionately known as 'Underdogs' - they are dogs who have been in our care for six months, or more. They may need extra training, ongoing veterinary treatment or a home with no children or dogs. Or, in some cases, they are simply overlooked.

Woody was adopted from Dogs Trust Bridgend earlier this year. Since being adopted he's been enjoying all the home comforts life has to offer- he even celebrated his first birthday with a big party 🥳🎉 Yay Woody!

Texas had had a rough start to life- when she arrived in our care at Dogs Trust West Calder she was very shut down and nervous.

The behaviour team worked on building her confidence and finding the right home for her to thrive in. Texas found a family who commited the time to getting to know her. She had multiple meets and a home trial before adoption day.

Since then, she's been living her best life with lots of adventures and quality time with her favourite people 💛

Because of over breeding and neglect, Delilah and her puppies’ lives were at risk.

After being rescued from a puppy farm environment following a welfare seizure, heavily pregnant Delilah was in desperate need. The appalling conditions and years spent being overbred meant her body was under serious strain.

Once in our care we settled her safely in our special puppy block, but after a difficult birth that could have potentially cost her and her pups lives, she needed round the clock care to pull through, and her pups needed hand rearing. This type of lifesaving care is not possible without you.

Cassandra has been on a long journey- she was one of the 250 dogs rescued from one home earlier this year. She was a very nervous and shut down girl and would hide in the corners of her kennel.

Cas was super nervous of new people so the Dogs Trust Loughborough team worked hard on building her trust and confidence. Since then she has gone on foster and has made massive leaps. She is now ready to call a home her own...

She is looking for a home with a role model confident dog. Additionally, she can live with a cat and other pets too! She will need a patient family to take things at her pace to help her thrive.
