Back with another Tuesday tip!
🐾✨ Spring is here, and so is shedding season! 🌼🐶 Different dog breeds shed in different amounts, and you may notice your hoover is getting a workout!

Brushing your furry friend is super important during this time. For short-haired pups like pugs, dachshunds, and Labradors, a zoom groom or grooming mitt with bristles on the palm works wonders!

For those fluffier friends, like Pomeranians, corgis, golden retrievers, and collies, grab a slicker brush and coat rake to keep their coats looking fabulous! 🌟

And guess what? We’re now offering a fabulous new add-on service: ✨ Deshedding Mud Mask! ✨ Treat your pup to a spa day and help manage that shedding. 🛁💕

We’re back with another Tuesday tip! Taking care of your dog’s teeth is super important, just like taking care of your own! 🦷 Just like us, dogs can get plaque buildup, which can turn into tartar if we don’t brush regularly. This can lead to gum disease and other serious health issues as they age. Keeping up with your pup’s dental care not only helps them stay healthy but can also save you from those pricey vet bills. Luckily, it’s an easy habit to build! So grab that toothbrush and keep those pearly whites shining! 🐶✨

We offer ultrasonic teeth cleaning to give a deep clean, remove plaque and discolouration. Get in touch if you’re interested!

🐾 MJC Tuesday Tip! ✨ Brushing Your Dog…✨
For all you dog owners out there: brushing your pup is super important! Just remember, the amount of brushing depends on your dog’s coat type—like a wire-haired Jack Russell needing less attention than a curly Cockerpoo. Make sure to brush from nose to tail, and don’t forget to take off their collar and harness to get all those tricky spots! Regular brushing keeps their coat healthy and mat-free, so your groomer can focus on making them look fabulous rather than dealing with mats. We operate under the Animal Welfare Act 2006 which means that we have to place humanity before vanity and so, if your dog is too matted brushing isn’t always possible and may need to be shaved.

Dogs with long, curly and even wire coat types need regular - sometimes even daily brushing with a slicker brush and comb. These breeds include : Cockerpoos, Schnauzers, Jack Russells, Fox Terriers, Maltese, Bichon, Poodles, Cavapoos, Cavaliers

Short and smooth haired dogs can be brushed at home too. You can use a rubber brush or grooming mit that fits on your hand to massage the skin and bring dirt and loose fur to the surface. These dogs include: Chihuahuas, Bulldogs, Dachshunds, Boxers, Labradors, Rottweilers
