South London Cat Centre

South London Cat Centre Cats Protection Cat Centre based in South London. If you're looking to adopt, please visit our website Do come and visit us in Mitcham, South London.

We are a new Cats Protection homing centre based in South London, helping cats in need to find new, loving homes. Since opening in July 2015, we have homed over 750 cats and provided assistance to hundreds of cat owners to help ensure that every cat is treated with an understanding of its needs. We work with a network of dedicated staff, volunteers and fosterer carers to provide the best possible

care to our cats, and it's important to us that every cat in our care is treated as an individual and made to feel as comfortable as possible during their time with us. When you give a home to a cat or kitten from us, you can be assured that it has been vet checked, neutered (if it is old enough), vaccinated, microchipped, and treated for fleas and worms. We also have a shop at the adoption centre where you can buy everything you need for your cat, and all the profits the shop makes go back to us so we can continue helping more cats in need of a new, loving home. We are happy for you to come in to the centre, take a look around and meet our cats and kittens, however at busy times please bear with us as we want everyone to have a great experience. Please do not use our page for urgent queries. To ensure we recieve your message as quickly as possible, please email us at [email protected] or give us a call on 03000120285.

📸World Photograph Day is celebrated annually and recognises the art, science and history of photography. It highlights the cultural impact and encourages photographic enthusiasts to share pictures and participate in events.

The date specifically shows respect to the French government of the daguerreotype by the man of the same name Louise Daguerre as a gift to the world. This event marked the beginning of the practical photography.

🐕‍🦺 International Dog Day: It's also known as National Dog Day in some regions and celebrated every year.

We're raising awareness of the adoption of dog adoption and responsible pet ownership.

Established in early 2000 to honour all dogs encompassing family pets, working dogs and dogs in rehoming centres.

It also raises awareness of human treatment.

The purpose of the day:
- Promote adoption - the date focuses on the needs of dogs and encourages responsible adoption.
- Raising awareness - it highlights and reminds us about animal welfare, animal abandonment efforts and dog ownership.
- Celebrating a dogs' role - from loving companions to service/working dogs, these contribute to human well-being.

You can celebrate your dog by:
- Supporting your local animal rehoming centre.
- Reviewing your dog's health necessities such as injections, parasite prevention and chipping.
- Spend quality time with your dog - walks, play-time and enrichment activities 🚶‍♂️🌳
- Consider adoption if you're prepared for long-term responsibility.

International Homeless Animal Day: we're raising awareness of the predicament of homeless animals and advocate adoption and responsible pet ownership.

It's important to neuter your cats, this means less cats on the streets and fewer unwanted kittens.

Neutering your cat can improve their health, behaviour and extends their lifespan.

Microchipping is equally important. This helps with identification, increased reunion rates with their owners rather than those without chips. Proof of ownership if your cat is stolen or if ownership is contested. It's also mandatory for obtaining a pet passport.

These are just some of the important things to do for your cat.

Please visit our website for more information on microchipping and neutering:

Lovely Lincoln was found in a TV box on one of the hottest days of the year. He is now enjoying his own ventilated pen waiting for the right family to come pick him up!

At only 10 months old, he has come a long way and very obviously wants to make friends :)

Enquire today to meet this handsome man.
