Everyone is asking AI to create an aquarium for them, but most of the time, AI doesn’t get it quite right. 🌿🐠

The perfect ecosystem needs time, patience and care. It needs to mature and become properly established before it can be the perfect home for happy, healthy fish.

This customer asked me to recreate this setup for him, so I took his reference pictures and brought the idea to life in this Fluval 57L.

Now it’s time to let nature do its thing. With CO₂, good lighting and a little patience, the plants will grow in and eventually turn this tank into a little underwater jungle. 🌱

So many of you have fallen in love with their beautiful colours and gorgeous, flowing fins.

Cherry barbs are social fish, so we recommend keeping them in a group of at least 6 to help them feel happy, confident and healthy.

This fish thinks it’s a stingray 🛸

Meet the Hillstream Loach.

Flattened body, fins like wings, built to cling to rocks in fast flowing rivers.

In the wild they live in cold, oxygen rich mountain streams, gripping onto rock while the current tries to rip them off.

That sucker body isn’t for show. It’s a survival tool.

Peaceful, weird, and endlessly watchable as they graze algae across the glass.

They need cooler water, high flow and a mature tank with plenty of biofilm to graze on. Not a beginner fish, but a stunning one.

4 years of Fish Planet London !!
When I started, almost nobody believed me. I was alone with my ideas, lying awake at night wondering if the world would ever see what I could see in my head.

I worked night and day. I sacrificed everything. There were moments I did not even recognise myself in the mirror.

But this job changed me. After 4 years, more than ever, I understand animals, and I love them. This work humbled me. It connected me on a level I never knew existed, not just with fish, but with every living creature. It taught me to slow down, to notice, to truly care.

We have given work to almost 30 families. We built two homes for thousands of animals. And we are only getting started.

Here is what 4 years taught me. It does not matter who you are. It does not matter where you come from. It does not matter who laughs at you. If you work hard and you love what you do, life will find a way to reward you.

To everyone who has followed this journey, thank you. You are the reason we keep going.
