Dachshunds are low to the ground, which means they feel the heat from pavements even faster during warm weather. Hot surfaces can cause painful burns in seconds!

🐶 Keep your dachshunds safe by:
🌅 Walking early morning or late evening
🌱 Sticking to grass whenever possible
✋ Checking pavement temperature first
💧 Keeping walks short & staying hydrated

💧 Always provide fresh cool water
🌳 Walk early morning or late evening
🚫 Never leave dogs in cars
🧊 Cooling mats & shaded rest spots help prevent overheating
👅 Watch for signs of heatstroke: excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting

Short legs + long bodies mean dachshunds can overheat quickly in summer heat. Stay cool and stay safe! ❤️🐶

🐾 Rosie’s Departure Morning at BelDarDachville 🐾
The morning started with zoomies, sass, and just a little bit of drama here at BelDarDachville Dachshund Only Home Boarding!

Our lovely Rosie was getting ready to head home, but Gino clearly decided this was the perfect time to play extra rough. After one too many cheeky mouthings, Rosie had enough and gave him a very firm dachshund telling-off! 🌭💥

Gino casonova looked absolutely shocked, received a quick “sorry kiss” from Rosie… and then disappeared into hiding like the wounded little gentleman he is 😂🐶💔
No hard feelings though — we all know these two will be back to causing mischief together next time they meet! ❤️🐾🤣

At BelDarDachville, our resident heartbreaker Gino was busy today enjoying kisses and a full pamper session from home boarder Rosie 💋🐾

Looks like another Dachie has fallen under Gino’s spell and earned herself a place on his ever-growing girlfriend list ❤️
