Is anyone missing a tortoise in the last couple of weeks in the Llangeler area of Llandysul? We have been notified that this one has been found and is being looked after. Please let us know if you have any information. 01559 363318 option 2. Please share

🐕‍🦺🐈*** URGENT PLEASE READ - Small Animal - Pets emergencies *** 🐕‍🦺🐈**Update**

The issues seem to be related to the major mobile networks rather than our own systems and effect incoming and outgoing calls from and to mobiles - they are intermittent - so please keep trying. Hopefully the issues will be resolved soon.

We were having some issues with our own BT line transferring calls - both incoming and outgoing. Please be patient and try again if you are trying to get through for routine appointments/requests.

If you have an emergency for one of your pets that can't wait - then please come straight down between 8.30 and 6pm or out of hours call 01559 363318 option 2 to get through to our emergency out of hours providers MiNight Vets in Carmarthen.

Please remember to stay vigilant and be aware of the signs and bird flu. A further case has also been confirmed in North Wales.

Highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 has been confirmed at a premises near Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire.

A 3km Protection Zone and 10km Surveillance Zone have been put in place around the premises.

An Avian Influenza Prevention Zone (AIPZ) with mandatory biosecurity measures is also in force across Great Britain.

All bird keepers must follow the stringent biosecurity measures in addition to following any Protection/Surveillance Zone restrictions in their area to prevent future outbreaks.

Unfortunately we have had a black male cat brought in to us from the Windy Corner, Pencader area of Llandysul.

He is currently in a serious condition and we are trying to stabilise him as best we can.

🐰These 2 lovely rabbits were in for a consult on Saturday. Just a check over and advice about neutering in the future. It can be hard to distinguish between young male and female rabbits when they are young so it is good to get advice in case they are a mixed pair.

🐰 They were happy to be handled and enjoyed some cuddles with our vet Vicky, nurse Claire and their young owner.
