Handsome Jack has been for a pamper today! He's had his claws cut, his grease gland cleaned and a bath in a specialist guinea pig shampoo called 'Just for Boars' - all the bathing products I use come from the amazing Gorgeous Guineas 🐹🐹

It's been a busy morning here, regulars Zeb and Jorge had a claw cut and the same family's new rescue guinea pigs Phoebe and Piper also came for their first claw cut with me 🐹❤️🐹❤️🐹❤️🐹

I was recently in Newtown and my mobile claw cutting service took me back to cut the claws of mini lops Juno, Nova, Seren and Luna, their owner has sent me this lovely photo of them ❤️❤️

I had an interesting booking earlier this week....cutting the claws of Jeli and Donut the guinea pigs in front of a very eager nursery class in Rhayader!!

Claw cutting is a regular part of your small pet's care, but if they struggle, kick or bite or you simply don't feel confident doing them yourself then please get in touch!

I only charge £7 per pet and it takes just a few minutes, appointments can take place here at my home (near Crossgates) or if you'd like me to come to you then please let me know your postcode so that I can quote for my fuel and travel time.

With lighter evenings on the way I'll soon be offering after work appointments also 🐹✂️🐰

We've had a busy morning vaccinating all of my current boarding rabbits as well as my own with Yurvac RHD, this is a new vaccine in the UK to protect against the new "highly virulent" variant of RHD2. It has been a worrying few days waiting for the supplier to deliver it as there have been supply issues but it arrived first thing this morning and then the production line began!

Thanks to Builth Wells Veterinary practice for taking a proactive approach and coming here to get this important vaccine administered, and to all the owners who brought their rabbits, our drive has never been so full of vehicles!!

Pet rabbits and guinea pigs live a very different life from their wild counterparts, and the surfaces we keep them on don't usually allow their claws to be worn down naturally as they would in the wild.
