One of the reasons to regularly cut the claws of your rabbit is to avoid sore hocks, a very painful condition which can take them a long time to recover from. Overgrown claws affect the way in which the foot comes into contact with the ground, leading to fur loss and sore areas as the rabbit's weight is not distributed as it should be. Joint problems and arthritis can also be linked to overlong claws in both rabbits and guinea pigs, as well as the risk of a claw getting trapped and torn out....ouch!

If you would like me to cut the claws of your rabbit or guinea pig then please get in touch, it costs just £7 if you come to me and is done while you wait.

Alternatively I also offer a mobile claw cutting service, simply let me know your postcode so that I can quote for my fuel and travel time....

I was in Newtown earlier today, and met first time client Milo, he's a rescue and after a little bit of a wriggle I succeeded in cutting his claws!

I look forward to seeing him again for regular claw cuts, our next visit to the Newtown area is on Thursday 21st May (and then fortnightly after that)
