UPDATE : BOTH Svena Lightning Strike & the late Svena Abracadabra have been confirmed as having had this gene plus to date 11 offspring. 5 sons, 4 daughters for Floyd, 2 daughters for Harry. We continue to search for it.

Delighted that Svena Lightning Strike, his sons Leescarriad Black Knight and Earlrae Black Velvet plus his daughters Svena Cinnamon Sky, Svena Copper Countess, Earlare Firefly & Rivalace Counting Stars and his neice Svena True Love for Reineta have all been found to have the VERY rare NEBL 3 gene, protecting against early (pre 10 years of age) onset MMVD. According to Australian researchers. Time will tell if their research is accurate. meanwhile Floyd at 12 years of age remains hail and hearty although a bit wobbly due to arthritis. The FIRST family group found with this gene in the UK and one of only a few groups world wide.
