❤️ Hero cats needed ❤️

Could your cat be a hero?
Could your cat be a blood donor?

Fuzzy is a pet of two of our vets at Medivet Alder, who unfortunately has found himself extremely poorly. At the moment he’s in a referral hospital being looked after, but he could find himself needing a blood transfusion in the very near future.

This is where your little hero could come into help!
Unfortunately cat blood doesn’t store well when collected, so there is no pet blood bank for cats. We need to take the samples directly from patient and give them straight to the needing patient.
Therefore, your cat needs to fit a criteria.
Your cat would have a full blood test, blood typing and FeLV and FIV checks before donation was taken. This is in the form of a usual small blood sample.
If your cat fits the criteria below, and you would be able to bring your little cat for the donation in an urgent time frame (if contacted) please get in touch ❤️

Criteria:
* Fit and healthy
* Between 1 and 10 years old
* Weigh more than 4kg
* Up to date with vaccinations
* Up to date with flea and worm treatments
* Not on any medication
* Have never travelled abroad
* Have never had a blood transfusion
* They can be indoor or outdoor cats

LOST CAT! Our Cat Sitter Natalie’s Cat Kimchi is missing. She is a very shy girl who doesn’t usually leave her garden so they are very worried. Lives near Marbury Road Park in Stockport. If you are in this area or in a nearby area please keep an eye out. And PLEASE SHARE this post to get the word out. Kimchi is a small cat who is scared of people and very skitty, so for her to leave the surrounding area is very out of character, PLEASE check sheds, houses and garages where she could be hiding. Before Christmas we visited Venture Farm to meet some of the beautiful kitties there. Hannah delivered the shoebox donations that were dropped off at Chapelfield Vets in Norwich. So if you took yours there, here is where they ended up and here are just a few of the cats who benefited.🥰 we are so grateful for every single donation and wanted to say a really big thank you to Venture Farm for accepting these gifts and for all the hard work you do taking care of so many precious felines. It was a lovely place to visit and we could tell the cats are so very well looked after! Two of the cats we met here were Mimi (the lovely tortie) and Dyson (the gorgeous ginger and white)🐱who was taken to his forever home just the day after we visited. ❤️ if you are in Norfolk and thinking of adopting a cat you must visit venture farm! ☺️

UPDATE!!! Tutan has been found 🥹❤️❤️❤️

‼️ PLEASE SHARE ‼️Tutan is missing from St Michaels area (Liverpool). It’s very unlikely that he’s lost as he knows his area very well. He has gone missing before where he was either stuck (twice on a roof and once up a tree) or stolen. He sometimes wanders into other people’s houses if they have a cat flap. He is a curious cat who is friendly towards other cats and he loves children. Tutan’s owners and his brother Marmo are very worried and are missing him very much. Please get in touch with us if you see or hear anything and we will let his family know. And please please share this to help spread the word! Thank you 🙏

IMPORTANT!! Roly is missing, PLEASE SHARE! He is one of our cat clients and the owner would really really appreciate if you could please share this post to help get the word out! Roly lives in the Everton Road L6 area of Liverpool, he is a black cat and has that white triangle of fur on his upper chest, and some white fur on his belly. Roly never usually goes out for long, so if you or anyone you know is in the area please let them know to keep an eye out. If you hear anything please let us know and we will get in touch with the owner ASAP. We are crossing all our fingers that Roly returns home very soon.

Meet Bobby, Penny and Tilly! 🥰 Three beautiful siblings who have lots of love for one another. They can all be quite nervous around strangers and would hide away when we first met them. So after being patient with this trio and allowing them to come to us when they were comfortable, we got to see their friendly personalities! Bobby is the fluffiest of the gang, he can be very chatty once he gets to know you, Penny is playful and bubbly and Tilly is gentle and quiet but super affectionate. It really is an honour to have built the trust of these three adorable fur babies. 🐾🐈‍⬛🐾

Look at these GORGEOUS boys 🥹 meet Fred & George. ❤️ Fred is the white and ginger fluffball, he’s the outgoing and cheeky boy of the two. He loves belly rubs and will sometimes lick you affectionately! George, in the grey, is a little more shy and skittish but he still loves a stroke. He enjoys watching tv! Visiting and caring for these stunners always makes our day! 😻

Meet Tiddles, our friendly & playful feline friend! 🐾 Tiddles loves chasing and attacking her toys, and she's also a big fan of cuddles and being picked up. But she'll let us know when she needs her own space! She's a young cat who can get a little nibbly during playtime. Tiddles shares her home with two adorable guinea pigs, Guinea & Snowy, whom we'll also care for while our customers are away. When you book with us and rest assured that all your furry pals will be well taken care of! 😻🐹

A little story about Lovely & Precious. ❤️ Two sweet sisters who deserve a post dedicated to them. Lovely is the stunning tabby and Precious is the black & white beauty. When we first visited these two last year they were very nervous. When we meet timid kitties for the first time we are very patient with them and will do absolutely everything we can to make them feel comfortable. So by the end of their first booking Lovely had already started to come out her shell, showing her friendly side towards our Sophie. And now Lovely will greet Sophie at the door and follow her around the house during each visit. Precious is slightly more shy so gaining her trust was a slower process, she started off by hiding herself away (maybe she likes hide and seek?) but she is doing brilliantly and is becoming more and more confident every time we see her. She will now take treats from Sophie’s hand! And will even surprise her by running over for a quick stroke before going outside to play. It’s such a wonderful feeling when we get to know your kitties and seeing their true personalities. 🥰
