We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years, this year is going to be very strange for us as it’s the first time EVER Katie hasn’t been up the kennels in the afternoon!

We have had a few messages/ Comments now we have shut at where we would recommend to adopt from.. so we thought we would put up a little post to help you all 🫶

New Forest Retired & Rehoming Greyhounds

We have worked along side all 3 for many years and have the same views and ethics as us!

Barley is where 3 of our long stayers went, and Joy who runs Barley, worked with my granny Liz back in the day, so is highly experienced!

Romford are great and as I’m sure you are aware we helped them out with finding dogs homes, that’s where little Lass came from 🥰

New Forest - are a lovely family run kennel, whose dogs are always in amazing condition and so friendly with humans - we have honed many of their dogs over the years!

If you are looking to add another addition then please do reach out to them, they are worth the journey or contact as some transport may be available

The dogs have headed off to their new kennels, packed with comfort, toys, and love. As the gates close for the last time, a silence settles over Court Barn Kennels—something we haven’t heard in over 50 years. No howling, no paws on the floors, no barking for dinner. Just quiet. It feels surreal.

Nearly 4,000 hounds have been homed in that time. With happiness and smiles, with sadness and tears, we have loved and cared for each and every one of you. But now the time has come to close the doors.

A heartfelt thank you to the incredible kennels who have taken in our hounds—especially Joy at Barley Greyhound Sanctuary, who supported Mum all those years ago and has once again been there for us now.

And to everyone who has worked with us, volunteered, or supported us through the decades: thank you. If you can, please continue to support other wonderful rehoming centres. Your kindness truly makes all the difference.

Our Team 🐾 Thank you to everyone at Barley Greyhound Sanctuary - Essex for helping us out taking our special kids!

We know they are in the very best hands!

If anyone is looking to adopt, or support another greyhound charity with fundraising please consider Barley.. Joy used to work with Molly and Liz and has the same ethics as us so she knows greyhounds very well!

They are an individual charity so get no funding from the wider community only those that we can fundraise for.. we will be helping them out with fundraising so if you can get involved too we know they would appreciate it ✨

Many of you have probably seen that Portsmouth Greyhound Trust very sadly closed it's doors recently. We have known the team at Portsmouth for many years, and they reached out to ask if we could help by taking a few of the kennel favourites who each have complex needs. Of course we said yes, so please say a warm Barley welcome to Harvey (8), Spice (4) and Liam (7). They are all lovely and we will add their individual details soon 🐾🖤🥰

We are all set up at St Peter’s Hall in Petersfield for our Christmas Market!

Lots of amazing stalls- Jewllery, homemade crafts, Cookies, Perfume, Metal decorations and so much more!

Another sad day at the kennels, 3 of our long stayers moved to their new kennels 😞

We dropped them off there this morning, where they are in the best care with a former employee of Liz and Molly!

They would appreciate any fundraising, Donations and support as they are an independent charity they receive no funds from anywhere else!

We are so grateful for Joy and her team for taking these 3 in for us 🐾

We are so excited and making sure everything is prepped ✨

We have the incredible Lynda’s FM Fragrances joining us !

I love her perfumes as they are 3/4 of the price but smell so much like the designer perfumes ✨

The hounds enjoyed a snowy walk yesterday morning with our amazing volunteers , before a few headed off to their new kennels to find their homes!

The dogs are slowly moving and feeling very sad here at the kennels 🥹
