What regular Ultrasonic Teeth Cleaning sessions look like 🦷✨

Today I gave my own girlie a teeth cleaning (never a day off as a dog groomer 😅).

For anyone who doesn’t know or hasn’t met my lovely (and obnoxious) Giant Schnauzer, Piper is 4 years old and we have never had any issues with her dental health, always get compliments when she goes for veterinary check ups and never has bad breath that makes me want to step away if she tries to give kisses 😘

For the last year and a half I’ve been using Ultrasonic Teeth Cleaning as her main form of dental care, along with a daily dental chew before bed… and this is the result of maintaining her dental health 🤩

This post may not be a big transformation but the sessions are all about prevention rather than a quick fix. At Beards and Paws Grooming, our main focus first and foremost is on the welfare of the dogs that come to us. We take pride in taking care of them and assisting you with giving them their long and best life ❤️

Tick Season is Here ⚠️

Please be checking your pets over after they have been out and about for not only ticks but grass seeds/foxtails.

Touch wood I haven’t found any grass seeds on my clients yet but I could be working up a record for how many ticks I’ve been pulling off clients’ dogs these last couple months.

✅ Check over your dog after walks and going out.
✅ Keep them up to date on Veterinary Prescribed medication for fleas and ticks - personally I’ve found this to be the best but do speak to your vet for the best options for your dog.
✅ Use a tick twister to remove the tick if you find one - less likely to cause damage which could lead to the head of the tick staying attached to your dog and potentially causing problems.
