🧱 BUILD UPDATE 🧱

We’re rocking and rolling at the moment! 🏗️

A quick progress update since our last post:

✅ The conservatory frame is gone… so the whole conservatory is actually gone now!
✅ The burglar has returned the majority of what he stole (thank you, Facebook community! 🙌)
✅ The blockwork is coming on thick and fast 💨

Next up, we’re expecting the red bricks to be delivered soon, finishing off the blockwork (if the rain decides to cooperate ☔️), and then we should start seeing some exciting visual changes to the outside of the building too.

UPDATE: our delivery has arrived

⚠️ Gelston Haylage ⚠️

We are down to the last couple bales on Gelston Haylage due to issues with their baler at the beginning of the week. But don't worry we should be getting a delivery on Monday!

We currently have the Baillie Haylage Meadow Grass and the Bagged Hay in stock.

🍀 In other, much less thief-related news… 👀

Nikki and Louise recently visited one of our most popular feed brands, Emerald Green Feeds, at their facility in Bardney Dairies!

🎟️ We popped in to collect a raffle prize for the ball and were kindly offered a full tour by David, who took us through the entire production process from start to finish.

🏭 From the moment the grass is cut, it is carefully levelled before being fed into a huge dryer (which uses an incredible 220 gallons of fuel per hour! 😲). The dried grass is then compressed into pellets, cooled, bagged, stacked onto pallets and finally wrapped ready for distribution.

🌱 What impressed us most was the simplicity of the product: there are no additives, bulking agents or fillers, just beautifully bright green grass packed into every bag. 💚

🙌 A huge thank you to David and Peter for taking the time to show us around and answer all our questions. It was fascinating to see exactly how the products are made from start to finish.

🎉 As for what Emerald Green Feeds donated for our raffle… you’ll have to wait until Saturday’s ball to find out! 🕺🏼🪩

Updated 30/5/26 THANK YOU! Wow we were not expecting this level of response but I shouldn’t be surprised really.. you lot are incredible 👏🏻

After a number of phone calls and messages all with very similar information, we were able to start handing details over to our builders R.Wakefield Building LTD - within a few hours of posting we had the gentleman’s name & other helpful details. He has returned 2/3 items stolen so far. Thank you for all your information, many of you were loyal customers having our back. We appreciate you all so much. 💙

Unfortunately, this lovely individual helped himself to materials from our site last night.

The theft happened at approximately 7:30pm yesterday evening. (28th May 2026)

We’re offering a reward for information identifying the man pictured and for information leading to the safe return of the stolen items.

If you recognise him or saw anything suspicious in the area around that time, please send us a private message.
