📍Junior Foundation Course.📍

This Junior Foundation Course is designed for owners who have adolescent dogs who are ready to develop essential life skills and good manners.

Perhaps you have completed a Puppy Course but are now finding that everything your dog learnt seems to have been forgotten.

On this course we use positive, reward-based training methods, this course helps dogs build confidence, focus, and self-control in a safe and supportive environment.

We cover socialisation, exercises, and techniques for managing common adolescent behaviours.

This course aims to strengthen the bond between dog and owner while providing practical training skills that can be used in everyday situations.

Suitable for young dogs of all breeds, this course provides a fun and engaging way to encourage good behaviour and set your dog up for lifelong success.

Each class is run for 1 Hour.

Class numbers are restricted to 4 as this enables the trainer to provide a more personal level of training, and enables you to have the maximum training experience.

This is Lady who today started her Foundation training.
I originally went to work on her Recall, but whilst there, her family wanted to add some foundation training into the session.

On our 1-2-1 Home Training sessions we always structure the session to suit each individual dogs training needs, so today for Lady we worked on-

Gun dogs are one of the most popular breed, but many won't work in the field they will be pets, so they need to know the basic foundation skills that you will use in your every day life.

Last night our puppies learnt the "Leave" & "Drop" skills.

These are so important for any puppy to learn and can save their life.

Everyone did really well, here is Coco, with some plants, as she had previously eaten plants from her Dad veggie garden ! ,Bruno with a Toilet roll, Benji with a tea towel, and Willow with a biscuit on the floor, she is focused on it, but she didnt take it.👍

Well done all..👏

Last night our Beginner Gun Dog class furthered their Focus and connection in a distractive environment and also furthered their loose lead walking.

Loose lead walking is something every dog owner struggles with, but with patience and the different methods we use at the end of the class everyone had improved their lead walking.

Meet Red who today started her Foundation Gun Dog Training.
Red was due to join us on our Thursday evening Gun dog course, but sadly she couldn't join us as she started her season, so I went to her and helped her Mum start her training.
She is a very clever girl, and picked up all of the training quickly, in the session we covered.-
✅Focus and attention
✅Auto Sits
✅Verbal and Hand signal Cues
✅Stay & Wait
✅Introduction to Recall and Whistle Recall
✅Introduction to loose lead walking.
Yes we covered a lot in the session !.
We also discussed mental stimulation which gun dogs need to know, and some exercises her Mum can do with her when they are out on their walks.
Hope to see Red in a future gun dog course,when her season has finished and she can join us.😊

This week we started a new Beginner Gun Dog course.
Welcome to-
💙Duke💙Ronnie🩷Honey🩷Ruby and 💙Bear.
We started class with -
✅Focus and Connection
✅How to stop jumping up
✅Furthering the Sit Cue
✅Loose lead walking

Everyone did really well for their first night, and I forgot to take photos as we did quite a lot for the first evening,but I will make up for that next week..😃

A lot of people think that Gun dog training is about retrieving and lots of exercise to tire their gun dog out, but it couldn't be further from the truth.

Gun dog training is not competitive but it is about meeting a set standard of training, and seeing your dog progress in their training.

If you would like a well mannered, obedient dog, then this course will help you to achieve that.

Gun dogs are intelligent dogs and need to use their brain, 95% of gun dogs are mainly pets, but their genetics tell them otherwise, so on this course we show you how to let your gun dog use their brain in their daily life and also have fun too.

We introduced our puppies to Loose lead walking last night.

This is something that every dog owner struggles with, its not instant but with some practice and commitment, it can easily be achieved.

Everyone did really well and by the end of the class everyone was walking nicely on the lead.

Here is Coco and her Dad walking nicely on the lead.
