This is Lady who today started her Foundation training.
I originally went to work on her Recall, but whilst there, her family wanted to add some foundation training into the session.

On our 1-2-1 Home Training sessions we always structure the session to suit each individual dogs training needs, so today for Lady we worked on-

✅Stay by an open door
✅Leave
✅Drop
✅Intro to Recall.

She is such a clever girl and picked up everything really well.

Last night our Pet Gun Dog class worked on furthering their basic skills and lead walking past distractions.

Many people think that gun dog training is just about picking up dead birds, but it is so much more.

Gun dogs are one of the most popular breed, but many won't work in the field they will be pets, so they need to know the basic foundation skills that you will use in your every day life.

If you have a gun dog as a pet and need to learn or refresh these basic skills this is what our Beginner gun dog course is about, then if you wish to further your gun dogs training you can join us on a Level 1, course this is where we take the training to the next level, working with a whistle, and much more.

Last night our puppies learnt the "Leave" & "Drop" skills.

These are so important for any puppy to learn and can save their life.

Everyone did really well, here is Coco, with some plants, as she had previously eaten plants from her Dad veggie garden ! ,Bruno with a Toilet roll, Benji with a tea towel, and Willow with a biscuit on the floor, she is focused on it, but she didnt take it.👍

Last night our Beginner Gun Dog class furthered their Focus and connection in a distractive environment and also furthered their loose lead walking.

Loose lead walking is something every dog owner struggles with, but with patience and the different methods we use at the end of the class everyone had improved their lead walking.

Here is Duke and Honey working on their loose lead walking.
