Meet Storm who was seized in August. Many thanks to MUDDY PAWS CRIME Uk & Ireland who got in touch with us for advice and support. We can update that the case has now been dismissed and today Storm was returned home to her family.

Today's good news stories.

Cookie (pictured) case was heard today at court. Cookie had not been officially assessed or seized, so court was adjourned to allow her to be seized which happened after court. The good news is the dog legislation officer who assessed her has determined she is not a banned breed and is a standard american bully instead. Cookie is now coming home NOT TYPE and the case withdrawn.

In other news, Pablo whose case was at court today and the owner who self represented was granted exemption status and will be home with his family soon.

We would like to thank Pam who represented at court today in Cookies case.

We haven't posted any good news stories for a little while as many cases have been adjourned or going to appeal.

But in typical fashion we bring you a few good news stories all at once.

Today's good news stories.

Creed and Roma case was heard at court yesterday after being seized earlier this year due to an error in the self exemption process. The courts satisfied have granted exemption to both dogs.

Today Wakanda who was seized earlier this year has also been granted exemption status.

All three will be returned home soon as all paperwork is done.

Earlier on the week Meah (Mia) case was dropped with a voluntary control order put in place.

Sadly however Bubbas case was adjourned as the prosecution expert didn't attend.

Over the last month we have recieved calls and messages from people whose dog/dogs have been seized due to having FAKE exemption certificates.

Some people sadly who struggle to read or write or had difficulty understanding the guidelines and paid a third party to assist them. These people would take the payment and send the families a fake exemption certificate.

Some owners only become aware of the scam once they sent proof of neutering forms which alerted DEFRA and then that family was visited by the police resulting in their dog being seized.

And one family who received a visit from the police and showed the police their documents but when police run the index number through the system they discovered it was not a genuine certificate.

These families now have to go through court to try and gain a genuine exemption.

The families have been charged by the third parties between £145 and £200.

First up is Kylo seized in January this year as a banned breed. Today his case was heard at court and he has been granted exemption status.

Second is Zeus who was seized early April this year as a banned breed. His case was heard this afternoon and he has been granted exemption status.

Both dogs will be home as soon as their paperwork is complete and certificates issued.

Today's good news story and this weeks update.

Kenzo and Kola the Belgian malinois case was at court today.

They were seized for being dangerously out of control after jumping up at a person.

Today at court the defence solicitor and police solicitor agreed a control order which the courts accepted allowing both dogs home. In a superfast record time both dogs were returned within an hour of the court finishing.

Many many thanks to Steve the solicitor for representation at court.

MORE UPDATES

We are also happy to announce that Rio who we mentioned on the 26th March has also returned home today and earlier in the week Pablo was also returned both who have been granted exemption status.

Also Roxy who was granted exemption at court yesterday who will be home soon, once all the paperwork is complete and in place.
