I am a great believer in keeping my dachshunds fit and healthy and not overweight. This helps them to be active without damaging their joints. I do however consider some things a danger such as jumping off heights in restricted areas such as my high bed with little landing space. So I invested in a set of soft steps for them and here you will see Betty and Gretel demonstrate. A few treats were involved so I could film them 🤣

We currently have over 80 dogs looking for an adopter…. Yes 80!!!! In all parts of the UK, except Northern Ireland.

We DON’T advertise the dachshunds we have looking for their forever homes here on Facebook or on our website. They remain in their homes until we have found the right person/family to adopt them.

We ask people who would like to adopt a dachshund to apply via our website There are some criteria, of course. These are to ensure we find suitable homes and meet their needs. We look at EVERY application and we look for what EACH INDIVIDUAL DOG needs to succeed in a new home.

We feature dogs on Fridays who are looking for a very specific type of home, to reach a wider audience, but generally we need more people who are committed to offering a loving FOREVER home- who are not looking for a cheap dog, a perfect dog, a specific colour dog but a RESCUE dog.

Please if you are seriously considering adopting a dachshund or two or three(!!) complete an application form TODAY! 👇👇👇

Bit too hot for running around too much today so the dogs started a sniffathon then I think they found something but didn’t catch it 😂
