🚨 Aggressive Wasps Nesting Underground 🐝

The common wasp (Vespula vulgaris), often referred to as a yellowjacket, frequently builds large underground nests by using abandoned rodent burrows, cavities beneath patios, or gaps alongside walls. These hidden colonies can grow into the thousands.

During early summer, worker wasps are fed sugary secretions produced by the developing larvae. As the colony reaches maturity, the queen slows egg-laying and the larvae produce fewer of these sweet rewards.
