Franny was the opposite and briefly woke up from her nana nap for the proceedings, then went straight back to sleep again afterwards 😴 no sedation needed for that one 😉

I might be tempting fate here...

I've got 20+ years of horse owner experience

But I have no first hand experience of:
❌️ hoof abscesses
❌️ colic
❌️ tendon injuries
❌️ dental issues
❌️ respiratory problems
❌️ illnesses in general

The list goes on...

And perhaps i'm just extremely "lucky" 🤔

But all 3 of my own horses are/were/have been VERY different with vastly varying needs, so you'd have thought by just probability something would have cropped up!

The one common denominator though, is me.

Of course my knowledge and understanding of horses has developed over the years! But I've always looked after them using pretty much the same beliefs and principles with regards to health, management and fitness

So how come they've all been and stayed relatively unproblematic?

Is it coincidence?

Or is it that I've simply managed to "get it right"?

Don't get me wrong! It's not been completely smooth sailing! There's been injuries and turbulence along the way!

📉 But nothing chronic

🤑 Nothing that required excessive vet bills or insurance claims

💉 Nothing "remedial"

I've had multiple people asking me over the years: "have you got experience of x,y,z? Can you give me any advice?"

And - unfortunately perhaps - I can't 🤷‍♀️

I have the knowledge and I know what I'd do in their situation... but I can't draw from any personal instances

Thank goodness!
