Starting the year as we mean to go on at the first show of the year for our team! 🏆

A lovely afternoon at BSPS Area 3A thank you for a great show. All be it a bit wet☔️ But to take home two winners is fantastic for our little team!

Maygem The Ringmaster
Heritage young pony of the year WINNER - collecting his BSPS winter champs ticket. A positive attitude and we did it!!!

Novice mixed large breeds WINNER on our debut together in the ring!!!

A very merry Christmas from all the team at H&L🎄

Over the next week the ponies will be having some down time out in the field and a few steady hacks out to keep them ticking over! Whilst we enjoy the Christmas festivity’s with friends & family!

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Royal Welsh winter fair🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Win or loose we always have a great time at shows, I love getting ponies ready, packing the lorry, bathing, washing show rugs, spending the day with like minded people and catching up with friends. To me that’s what it is all about, loving the reason we do what we do because it’s the ponies we love and the days spent doing what we love before the sport itself. I spent many years borrowing trailers, freezing cold air beds and i feel incredibly lucky to be where I am today that I can still enjoy this shows but life has got a lot easier.
Monday really was an example of what you can achieve if you keep pushing, keep showing up and keep going. This time last year I would never have even thought we would place at a show like this as I have always had riddens , never really done Inhand and I simply used to wonder how people turned out and would get these youngsters to perform so beautifully. But you never stop learning!

The ponies results were the cherry on the cake for us, having both ponies in the lineup was a dream come true and a reflection of the time and effort their breeders put in to giving them the best start. we have had the most amazing few days in Builth. Don’t think we have stopped laughing and smiling the whole time we have been here!
Genuinely a massive thank you to everyone who took time to message, comment and come see us on Monday, friends and strangers! I can’t put into words what results like that mean for us. I’ll never stop being proud of what we achieved!

Thank you so much Annie for holding the fort at home, libs for being the best friend and helping us❤️

A very cold day at West Yorkshire WPCA ridden show, to kick of the start of the autumn shows!

Attended his second ridden show and we are so proud of him! Held his own in a busy, if not slightly chaotic novice large breeds class and coped amazingly in a busy warm up too! Feeling much more relaxed and settling into the job beautifully. It’s all about the little wins with this boy and I’ve done nothing but smile on him today!

As the qualifiers close, the last of the cattle shows come to an end and we head into youngstock & novice season (secretly my favourite time of year) we can’t help but reflect on what a fabulous summer season we have all had!

Been a little quiet on this page as with so much going on it’s been hard to keep track of everything! But we are back and will make our best efforts to keep you all up to date.

We have had some exciting new arrivals on the pony side, some come, some gone, some here for next season! And not to mention our very own special little chap! Some fabulous results (too many to list)!

Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past few months, for what was once an idea is now my full time job & our whole lifestyle I am proud of everything we have achieved.

I have attached some pictures of a preview of the last few months…..
We look forward to what the future has to bring and our exciting new additions!
