Hi there, I'm Eilidh Cunningham, proud proprietor of OzWalks Pet Services and owner of a beautiful Australian Cattle Dog called Isla. My husband and I have recently returned to Scotland from Australia and Isla has made the journey with us. Whilst in Australia I got involved with local pet fostering charities, collecting/making donations for cats and dogs in foster care. I also assisted a local dog

walker with walks during busy walk days. With my passion for pets and a love of the outdoors, it got me thinking that, after 20 years of sitting on an office chair, I should do this, although admittedly, the weather won't always be so pleasant in Scotland. What better time to introduce OzWalks Pet Services having recently returned from a 2 year stay in Australia.

The weeks are flying by. I often forget to take pics as I'm too busy enjoying the moments with my furry companions but when we have treat stops, water breaks or a sit down, it's the perfect time to catch their antics

Blue is doing brilliantly on a long line but tends to get a bit carried away when we get to water and we get our feet tangled on the line 🙈 How I haven't ended up in the water along side them is a mystery. 🤣

Harry had a mishap yesterday when he ran to splash in a puddle and missed, somersaulted over it and landed in mud. He was ever so proud of himself whilst his brother looked on in disgust.

We also saw the return of Romeo who has been off for a number of weeks recovering from surgery so it was great to have him back.

Happy Friday folks

For the most part it's been a lovely week of walks but our afternoon walks featured some very soggy doggies and a very wet walker 💦🌧️ thanks to downpours of biblical proportions.

Some walks were too wet to take pictures so here are the few I did manage to get.

Suffice to say everyone enjoyed puddle jumping and we made it to the end of the week with sunshine, thankfully 😁

I hope everyone had a great weekend and I'll see all my furry friends on Monday. 🐾🐕

Where do the weeks go, here we are Friday again.

We've had some great walks this week but we did get caught in the odd downpour.

We are missing some regulars some of whom are recovering from surgeries and illness. We would like to wish Ace, Romeo and Biscuit speedy recoveries and we hope to see them back out very soon.

🫠🌞 Whilst the weather is absolutely glorious, it does pose some challenges trying to keep everyone cool. Plenty of shade and water sources were sought out and I really dont mind if I get a soaking in the process 💦🤣

With the good weather set to continue into next week, if necessary walks will start early to ensure all walks are complete. If deemed too hot, walks will be shortened or let outs carried out. If you have any concerns please let me know.

Cat visits for the season are now complete with the following 🐈 all having received home visits
Dusty/Storm
Ginny/Gloria
Lyra and finally Zorro. My time with them was very enjoyable.

Sorry to anyone missing from images this week but the priority was to get everyone out and returned safely.

A reminder both Elspeth and l will be off on Friday 24th and Monday 27th July.

As one set of cat visits end, another 2 begin.

Ginny and Gloria were great company for 2 weeks whilst their owners were on holiday. Ginny was very vocal with stories of her adventures during the day and was often awaiting my return. Gloria enjoyed cuddles on the sofa and demanded my attention by pawing at my hand.

Next we have Zorro and Lyra who both receive daily visits. I do enjoy morning cat cuddles before the chaos commences on my daily walk schedule and the relaxing late afternoon visits help to calm me down. 🤣

On our walks this week we have had much cooler temperatures and the odd shower but on the whole some fantastic walks.

Otis likes to emerge from long grass covered in sticky weeds which provides some much needed therapy trying to unpick them from his head. Jonty is all about the treats.

On one of our early afternoon walks, we came across a shelter with the remains of a campfire, but present was a shovel, which has since been moved (should I be worried) 🙈🤣

This afternoon's walk with my own dogs resulted in a rescue mission when Reuben got stuck down an embankment. 🙈

I will take the weekend to recharge and do it all again next week.

What a week it's been and I'm very thankful it's Friday.

The unusually warm weather does add some complexities when planning walks so I very much appreciated everyone's understanding. Afternoon walks were cancelled from Tuesday so it did mean having to move some dogs to much earlier than usual slots to ensure everyone who needed to get out was able to do so in slightly more comfortable conditions.

Thank you to everyone who accepted cancellations and adjustments to walk schedules.

Thank you also for all the offers of cold drinks and snacks. It's very much appreciated. 🫠

I'll see all my furry friends next week although I'm hoping for some cooler walking conditions.

Below is a selection I managed to take, apologies to those I have missed as my hands were either full with leads or sweating and dropping the phone. 🙈😁🫠

Good morning all

With the high temperatures forecast for the rest of this week, there may be some changes to walks.

Walks will be shortened and earlier than normal. They will be in shaded areas as much as possible with access to water. Walks may need to be cancelled, therefore let outs will be carried out in place of a walk.

I will monitor the forecasts throughout the week and contact you if your dog's scheduled walk is likely to be impacted but please do let me know if you have any concerns.

I realise I haven't posted in a while so here's a selection from the last couple of weeks.

We end the week completely and utterly drenched from the heavy showers today but I'm currently drying off with a coffee so all is good. ☕

Those who didn't mind the rain were busy jumping in puddles whilst some sought cover under the trees.

As ever, in Scotland we take whatever weather gets thrown at us so there's no point complaining 🤣

Although I am ever hopeful for a few drier days next week. 🤞🏻
