☀️🐶 HOT WEATHER WARNING 🐶☀️

When temperatures rise to 34°C, the pavement can become dangerously hot for your dog’s paws and the heat can quickly lead to dehydration, heat exhaustion, or even heatstroke.

If it’s too hot for your hand on the pavement for 5 seconds, it’s too hot for your dog. 🐾

During extreme heat:
🌿 Walk early in the morning or later in the evening
💧 Always carry fresh water
🌳 Stay in shaded areas
🚫 Never leave dogs in parked cars
✂️ Keep them comfortable with a fresh Woof Cut

Arthur came back to see us at The Woof Cut for his full hand strip appointment — and what a transformation already ✨🐾

Hand stripping is a specialist grooming technique designed for wire-coated breeds, helping to remove dead coat by hand rather than clipping. This keeps the coat’s natural texture, colour and weather-resistant qualities exactly as they should be.

It’s not a quick process and achieving the perfect hand-stripped coat takes time, patience and consistency. We work slowly and carefully over multiple appointments to maintain the coat properly and keep Arthur comfortable throughout the process. Slow and steady really does win the race when it comes to hand stripping 💛

Arthur was an absolute superstar as always, and we can’t wait to continue perfecting that beautiful coat ✂️🐶

Fresh coat? Check.
Bouncy strut? Absolutely.
Soaking up the sweet sunshine like the star she is? Naturally. ☀️🐾

Nothing beats that “just groomed” feeling… and Oti is wearing it very well. 💁‍♀️

Tilly the Yorkshire Terrier visited us at The Woof Cut, Lancaster for the very first time today 🐾✨

She was an absolute star on the table from start to finish! After a tidy-up clip over the body, feathering around the legs, head and tail and a refreshing cleansing bath, she was feeling (and looking) like a whole new woof 💕🐶

We loved having you in, Tilly — you did amazing! Can’t wait to see you again soon 🛁✂️
